Brooksbank Debt & Benefits Advice Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Money Advisers within Brooksbank’s busy Debt & Benefits Advice Service. The project is funded by Dundee City Council through the Scottish Government Dundee Partnership.

We offer a starting salary of £24,408 per annum up to £26,701 (dependant on experience) and a pension with an employer’s contribution of 8%.

We are looking for two articulate individuals who have a good working knowledge of the welfare benefit system and are able to advise on complex money and debt issues.

You should have an enthusiastic, committed and positive approach, and be flexible, with good oral and written communication skills. You should have excellent time management skills as you will be required to manage your own caseload while working as part of a team.

You will have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in welfare rights or debt advice, and be able to work within a complex legislative system. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

We will also require basic disclosure checks from the successful candidates.

Location: Based at Brooksbank Centre with limited outreach at delivery venues including Scotty Centre, Dundee and any other location as identified by the project. Digital/phone advice will also be given from Brooksbank Centre/remote working from home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Triage assistant, working alongside Brooksbank’s busy Debt & Benefits Advice Service. The project is funded by Dundee City Council through the Scottish Government Dundee Partnership.

We offer a starting salary of £18,251.00 per annum (pro rata) and a pension with an employer’s contribution of 8%.

We are looking for an articulate individual with excellent IT skills. Some knowledge of the welfare benefit system is advantageous but not essential.

You should have an enthusiastic, committed and positive approach, and be flexible, with good oral and written communication skills. You should have excellent time management skills as you will be required to manage your own caseload while working as part of a team.

We will also require basic disclosure checks from the successful candidate.
