Money Adviser (Brooksbank Debt & Benefits Advice Service)

A post has arisen for an experienced Money Adviser within Brooksbank’s busy Debt & Benefits Advice Service. The project is funded by Dundee City Council through the Scottish Government Dundee Partnership.

We offer a starting salary of £ 24408 per annum and a pension with an employer’s contribution of 8%.

We are looking for an articulate individual who has a good working knowledge of the welfare benefit system and is able to advise on complex money and debt issues.

You should have an enthusiastic, committed and positive approach, and be flexible, with good oral and written communication skills. You should have excellent time management skills as you will be required to manage your own caseload while working as part of a team.

You will have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in welfare rights or debt advice, and be able to work within a complex legislative system. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

We will also require a basic disclosure check from the successful candidate.
