R:evolve Recycle is a dynamic project which aims to increase awareness of the textile industries impact on our planet and develop tangible ways for people to reduce their carbon footprint. We have a proud track record within the community of delivering unique opportunities, and we do this successfully by utilising the skills and experience of local people through volunteering, ensuring that the positive changes we see through our work are driven solely by our communities.

We are one of the leading textile re-use non-profits in the country and have great ambitions to continue to increase our impact on communities and the environment.

We currently operate three high street clothing swap shops; repair and up-cycle workshops as well as a range of environmental education and learning opportunities locally. Our positive message and climate solutions have helped many communities across Scotland and England through our consultancy and mentoring services.

We are an extremely fast paced project which adapts to the needs of our customers, ensuring a quality service which finds real solutions to people’s textile waste. In the last two years we saw almost 30,000 swapping transactions take place within our stores resulting in almost 42 tonnes of clothing being brought back into circulation helping us to reduce almost 900 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

We are excited to embark on the next chapter of the R:evolve story with the introduction of our brand new sorting and processing facility and the launch of our new social enterprise, which will enable our long term sustainability. We are certain that these new, exciting services will have a lasting impact on our community, our project, and our planet.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Coordinator to effectively manage the running of LEAP’s R:evolve Recycle project. You will be required to lead; line manage and motivate the project staff and volunteers to meet miles stones and outcomes whilst delivering high quality services to our customers.

A key aspect of this role will be to promote the project to all stakeholders, build partnerships, networks and promote best practice.

You will be required to monitor and evaluate every aspect of service delivery alongside the volunteer and staff team, completing robust reviews and reports for stakeholders and make decisions about the future project delivery based on the needs of the communities of South Lanarkshire.

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, you will be actively seek out future funding opportunities.

A successful candidate will:

• Have proven project coordination skills with the voluntary or public sector, demonstrating the ability to work to targets.

• Have experience of line managing a team of staff and preferably volunteers

• Be able to make decisions with and for your team in a collaborative manner

• Have experience of promoting a service within a local community and engaging effectively with key stakeholders, whilst developing an effective network of contacts.

• Be proficient in report writing

• Have sound communication skills

• Have experience in developing successful funding bids preferably with the Climate Challenge Fund and/or European Regional Development Fund reporting mechanisms

• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly with the rest of the team

• Have previous line management experience

• Be required to act on your own initiative

• Ideally have experience of working with volunteers in/with the public and/or voluntary sector

• Ideally have had experience of accreditation processes within a previous organisation

• Be computer literate with a range of information technology skills including a good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Ideally have a clean driving licence.

We are looking to recruit a Shops Coordinator to oversee the day to day co-ordination of three high street swap shop boutiques within the R:evolve Recycle project. A key element of this role is to ensure that textile input and output flows effectively through the project, maximising the lifecycle and circulation of textiles coming to us through our shops. You will work alongside a team of volunteers to ensure that our service is high quality, well presented and maintained.

A successful candidate will:

• Have a passion for achieving high levels of customer service, ensuring shop standards are always maintained

• Have an artistic flare and imagination to maintain R:evolve’s merchandising standards and are able to share these skills with volunteers

• Have a desire to work sustainably to ensure textile waste is kept to a minimum in line with the project’s environmental ethos

• Have experience of coordinating volunteers to ensure effective weekly rota is in place which covers all operational requirements

• Have experience providing ongoing supervision and support to a team

• Be able to make decisions with your team in a collaborative manner

• Have experience of promoting a service within a local community and engaging effectively with key stakeholders, whilst developing an effective network of contacts

• Be able to evaluate the service levels achieved to ensure key milestones are met whilst striving for continuous improvements

• Be proficient in report writing

• Have sound communication skills

• Be organised with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly with the rest of the team

• Be required to act on your own initiative

• Have a sound understanding of Health and Safety regulations within a retail environment

• Be computer literate with a range of information technology skills including a good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

• Ideally have a clean driving licence

• Be willing to carry out domestic and maintenance duties within all three stores to ensure cleanliness and standards at all times

We are looking to recruit an Volunteer Development and Training Coordinator who will recruit, support, train and coordinate volunteers for the delivery of LEAP’s R:evolve Recycle R:5 project in line with LEAP’s policies and procedures. This will ensure our customers receive excellent service from volunteers and that volunteers are trained to effectively meet all community, carbon literacy and legacy outcomes of the project.

A successful candidate will:

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated administrator to manage the office administration of our new Haberdashery within Revolve. You will oversee office administration tasks, administer our online shop and sales, collate data from project staff and develop statistics for reports for funders, managers and Board members. You will work as part of a dynamic team of both paid staff and volunteers, ensuring that people are directed through our new facility in a professional manner.

You will:

• Be computer literate with a range of information technology skills including a good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience of database maintenance

• Have the ability to produce tables, charts and statistics using data gathering mechanisms

• Be proficient in managing online sales, uploading information onto our website, and dealing with mailing orders

• Ideally have experience in photography to photograph merchandise for online sales

• Be an experienced operator of social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, eBay etc)

• Have experience of budgetary, cash handling and recording systems

• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly with the rest of the team

• Be required to act on your own initiative

• Ideally have experience of working with volunteers in/with the public and/or voluntary sector
