We are the Inverclyde Community Development Trust – a community-led organisation that uses a combination of community development, enterprise and creativity to improve the quality of life for local people. We aim to contribute to fairer, healthier and more prosperous communities in Inverclyde.

We achieve our aims through different programmes and projects and have served our community for over 30 years. We are continuing to develop our organisation to be fit for the future and continue to be a key organisation in Inverclyde.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic Chair, with previous board or committee experience, to help steer us towards fully realising our aims. The Chair will work alongside the Board to support our key staff to continue to raise the profile of the organisation whilst ensuring that an effective fundraising strategy and correct financial safeguards are in place to support our work. The Chair will be a real ambassador for us with a proven interest in the sector we work in and an effective networker, strategic thinker and clear communicator.

Inverclyde Community Development Trust (The Trust) focuses on providing support that encourages and nurtures people and communities. We take a community development and empowerment approach to increase capacity in the community. We have started the process of developing a new strategy and plans for our future and this is a rare opportunity to join the passionate and motivated senior level team.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a variety of community based programmes, projects and the buildings they operate from. Our programmes and projects are based on development trust principles and are focused on improving lives in Inverclyde. The Community Programmes & Projects Operations Manager will work closely with the CEO and as part of the senior management team will have responsibility for delivering and developing key aspects of our work including community development and empowerment projects and building excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.

This post is initially funded for one year, extension expected.

You will be responsible for the internal operations of the organisation whilst keeping our mission and purpose at the heart of what we do. The new Finance and Operations Manager will be required to empower our employees, build excellent working relationships with the executive team, stakeholders, partners, Trustees and potential funders. The Business Support Manager will work closely with the CEO and as part of the senior management team will have lead responsibility for delivering and developing finance, HR systems, and other key areas of internal operations.
