This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to break into policy and research work and join a team that makes a difference. This role will play an important part in Inclusion Scotland’s work to achieve positive changes to policy and practice so that disabled people are fully included in all Scottish society. Based in our Policy and Research Department, you will help us to influence decision-makers and support disabled people and local Disabled People’s Organisations to do the same. We are looking to appoint someone with some relevant and transferable knowledge and skills.
Inclusion Scotland seeks a self-motivated and pro-active individual for a brand new opportunity to lead an innovative project promoting disabled people’s lived experience leadership. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Leaders with Lived Experience Pilot programme, this pilot project aims to develop an accessible leadership training programme and bespoke training and capacity building products, in co-production with disabled people with lived experience of leadership.
We are now looking for a suitable candidate to run this project. They will have experience in managing a successful project and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The Highland Engagement and Communications Worker is a new post created to support the delivery and digital promotion of the Highland Local Policy and Engagement Project, funded by the Scottish Government Equality Unit. Key duties will include communications, promotions, maintaining social media and web-site, information work, event organisation, and administration. They will also help to promote and communicate the work of Inclusion Scotland more generally across Highland.
The successful candidate will have experience in using a range of social media platforms, the provision of information, advice and/or support to others, organising events and meetings, record-keeping and database maintenance, dealing with public enquiries and an understanding of the social model of disability and disability access issues.
Following a vacancy arising, Inclusion Scotland is looking to appoint a new Business Development Assistant. This role will work within our Business Development department, primarily to administratively support our national internship programme which creates paid work opportunities for disabled people while building inclusive practice within employers. The role will also involve support to finance and facilities administration, and assisting with some areas of promotion and marketing work.
Following a period of rapid expansion, Inclusion Scotland is now looking to appoint someone to a new post that will provide staff, planning and other support to help ensure we implement good practice and have good, strong internal systems in place. This critically important role would suit someone with a background in human resources or similar, with experience of setting up and administering organisational systems and policies.
