Policy and Research Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual with good research skills to join our Policy and Research Team. Inclusion Scotland is a rapidly expanding organisation with a strong reputation for influencing public policy. This postholder will help to ensure a sound evidence-base for that work and to can expect to work on different projects over time. Initial tasks will be on leading a UK-wide research project, delivering a co-produced project on intersectional discrimination and supporting the delivery of the Disability Research on Independent Living and Learning programme in Scotland. The post is offered on an ongoing basis, subject to future funding.

Employment Officer (Private Sector)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join the “WeCanWork” team, to build relationships with employers and disabled people. WeCanWork is the National Disability Internship Programme funded by Scottish Government. The aim is to create paid work placements for disabled people and promote inclusive employment practice throughout Scotland. We have placed over 100 interns in the voluntary and public sectors in 4 years. Could you help us build on this and bring our disabled people led approach to the private sector?

You will take a lead on building partnerships with potential private sector employers and promoting our support package on a consultancy basis. This is a great opportunity to develop your project management skills in a third sector environment.

We are looking for someone with initiative who can apply their experiences to the project, whatever those may be. You might be a HR professional looking for a new challenge, or someone with experience of mentoring disabled people. We are open to diverse experiences that will add to our existing team. You will show us excellent team working, relationship building and project planning skills.

Admin Support Assistant (Employment project and General)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join the Employment and Civic Participation team, and our cross-organisation admin team. You will support the day to day running of our work around employment of disabled people, and help with the admin to the wider organisation. “WeCanWork” is the National Disability Internship Programme funded by Scottish Government. The aim is to create paid work placements for disabled people and promote inclusive employment practice throughout Scotland. We have placed over 100 interns in the voluntary and public sectors in 4 years. Could you help us build on this by helping us deliver the project in an organised and efficient way?

This role has been created as part of an expansion of the programme to offer support to the private sector. You will work closely with a newly recruited Employment Officer to focus on the expansion of the programme to the private sector. This is an exciting project, and you will play a key support role. We need an excellent administrator to keep things running smoothly, handle queries, process finances, organise information, and assist during events. You will also provide general administrative support to the wider organisation. You will need to be organised, show initiative and have good team working skills. We have combined the post with some wider organisational admin capacity to support other teams (such as Independent Living in Scotland) and general events and activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a third sector environment. Our administrative staff have opportunities for professional development and will learn about promoting inclusion in society.
