Govan Home and Education Link Project (Govan HELP) is a family education support charity based in Govan, Glasgow. We are seeking to employ a Family Worker to offer individual support to families, facilitate parents’ groups and volunteer trainings and assist in the coordination of our family activities.

The successful candidate will have experience providing support to families including the delivery of positive parenting programmes. Experience as a group facilitator is essential.

The Family Worker will have a variety of duties and must be highly motivated, organised, resourceful, have excellent communication skills and be able to manage a workload often on her/his own initiative.

Healthy Morning Coordinator

Govan Home and Education Link Project (Govan HELP) is a family education support charity based in Govan, Glasgow.

We are seeking a Healthy Morning Coordinator to coordinate our Walking Bus Service and Enhanced Breakfast Club, across 3 primary schools that aim to improve school attendance and late comings, and thus improve children’s school experiences.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children and families, and ideally have experience supervising staff and volunteers.

The Healthy Morning Coordinator will have a variety of duties and must be highly motivated, organised, resourceful, have excellent communication skills and be able to manage a workload often on her/his own initiative.

Volunteer Development Worker

Govan Home and Education Link Project (Govan HELP) is a family education support charity based in Govan, Glasgow.

An exciting opportunity exists to join our growing team. We have been awarded funding from the Scottish Government to recruit a Volunteer Development Worker who will be supporting our new Volunteer Interpreter Service. In addition, he/she will support the expansion of our Parent Helper Programme which sees local parents and others being supported in volunteer in schools and nurseries we support.

The Volunteer Development Worker will report directly to the Services Manager and duties will include leading the recruitment, training, support and supervision of volunteers.

The successful candidate will have experience of coordinating or managing volunteer programmes, including delivering trainings and other groupwork.

The Volunteer Development Worker will be highly motivated, organised, resourceful, have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and support others, while being able to develop and strengthen our volunteer programmes.
