Forth Valley Advocacy delivers Independent Advocacy across the Forth Valley area. We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team. If you are an experienced Independent Advocacy Worker, we would especially like to hear from you.

Established for over 25 years we have been supporting and empowering individuals to know their rights and be involved in decisions that affect their lives under the following legislation:- The Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, Mental Health (Scotland) Act 2015, Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 and Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007. Our clients have a wide range of needs, including mental health issues, learning disabilities, autism, dementia and acquired brain injuries.

We offer 7% pension contributions and 28 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays. As this post involves travel across the Forth Valley area you must have the ability to be mobile.

Forth Valley Advocacy is seeking a manager to provide leadership to our well-established organisation, ensuring the successful delivery and future development of our independent advocacy service. The responsibilities of the post include: managing our staff; preparing bids for funding; working with the Board to set our strategy and budget; reporting on progress; supporting the Board to discharge our responsibilities as a charity, company and employer; and maintaining our reputation for delivering a high quality of service to our clients. We are a charity and company limited by guarantee.

We support people to have a stronger voice when decisions are being made about their care under legislation relating to mental health, incapacity or support and supervision. Our clients have a wide range of needs, including mental health problems, learning disabilities, autism and dementia.
