Flourish House is a Glasgow based mental health Charity providing services based on the philosophy and standards of the International Clubhouse Model. This unique model involves Members and staff working in partnership to ensure the day to day running of the project.
The aim of Flourish House is to rebuild confidence and self esteem of people with long lasting mental health conditions through their active involvement in meaningful work, social interaction and wellbeing activity.
We are seeking 2 x Project Workers and a Business Development Co-ordinator to join our staff team.
The role of the Project Worker is to engage Members in the variety of vocational and wellbeing opportunities and to take forward the objectives of the Clubhouse. Project Workers work in partnership with other staff and Member colleagues in Flourish House and must operate within the spirit and values of the Clubhouse Model.
The Business Development Co-ordinator role is a new post within Flourish House and it is anticipated will play a key role in the development of Social Enterprises and income generation activities for the organisation. Key tasks will include organising and supporting existing Social Enterprise provision, identifying new funding and enterprise opportunities and playing a lead role in bringing these to fruition.
All Clubhouse staff have a generalist role and are required to engage in the wider aspects of Clubhouse operations.
The ideal candidates will have strong understanding of mental health recovery alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team working and organisational skills.
Flourish House is a mental health charity providing day services and employability opportunities to people with lived experience of mental illness. We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Project Worker for our busy Clubhouse day service in Glasgow.
The Clubhouse is a lively environment with a multifaceted programme of learning, work and wellbeing. On a day-to-day basis you will support individuals to engage in the various aspects of the Clubhouse and will enable their participation in in-house meaningful vocational activity and external community opportunities, including support on work placements. You will also be required to provide emotional and practical support to individuals and to liaise with other agencies when required.
The ideal candidate will be great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you will love motivating and engaging people in a range of developing and recover based activities. What`s more, you will have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people.
The successful candidate will hold some mental health experience, be adaptable and resilient. These positions are based in the Business and Admin Unit of the Clubhouse which means a good level of IT, office admin skills, cash handling and finance experience are also required.
