At Garvald Mayfield House we have five workshops: Kitchen, Garden, Textiles, Jewellery and Pottery; the posts would be based across two or more of these workshops. One post would be primarily based in the Jewellery workshop.This is an exciting opportunity for creative and motivated individuals with relevant craft, gardening and food production skills and experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Part time 21 hours per week, salary scale £16,836 - £18,087 (pro rata for part time)

Workshop Support Worker – Mulberry Bush shop

To support members who work in our shop and additionally to support one individual with activities in the wider community.

In our Day Service in Edinburgh we currently have a vacancy for a Workshop Support Worker.
The Gorgie Kitchen has a part time vacancy for a new team member (14 hours, working days either Monday and Friday, or Thursday and Friday, which will be agreed upon appointment). Working in a person-centred way, this individual will support adults with learning disabilities to develop practical and social skills in a kitchen environment. The focus of this job is on making kitchen work fun and enjoyable for our members (service users), while at the same time realising and nurturing the potential skills of each individual. This varied role would suit an enthusiastic, motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment, with a team that loves cooking vegetarian food and making the whole process a fun and exciting learning experience for the members.
