Birthlink is an Edinburgh based charity. We are looking to recruit a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation. This is a new and exciting role to take forward the organisations Strategic Plan. Birthlink has grown and developed over the past 3 years, and we are looking for the right person to take us forward into the next stage.

This brand-new role will provide strategic leadership and take the organisation into the next phase of its development. The Chief Executive will shape, build, and lead on developing the organisation’s ambition to be innovative, effective, and continuously improving.

Birthlink is a small well-established Edinburgh based charity which supports adults affected by Adoption with a Scottish connection. Birthlink holds the Adoption Contact Register (ACR) for Scotland, working in partnership with the Scottish Government and Scottish local authorities. We are also working in Partnership with Future Pathways, an organisation set up by the Scottish Government as a direct result of the Scottish Abuse Enquiry. Birthlink works with survivors to access their records and offer a range of supports thereafter.

Birthlink is at an exciting stage of development and is looking to recruit a new Treasurer with responsibility for finance. This is a voluntary and unpaid position.

Birthlink will arrange induction training for successful applicants about the responsibilities of Directors/Trustees on the Boards of charitable organisations.
