LGBTI Policy Officer

We currently inviting applications for a part time (21 hours a week) LGBTI Policy Officer.

We are looking to recruit a part-time Policy Officer to join our dedicated team working for LGBTI equality and rights. This will include developing policy positions, working with policy makers, influencers and the media, providing information on LGBTI issues, consulting LGBTI people and supporting LGBTI people to directly engage with policy makers.

Lived Experience Coordinator - Scottish Trans

We are looking to recruit a Lived Experience Coordinator to engage and consult with diverse trans communities and people all over Scotland in ongoing work to improve NHS gender identity healthcare services.

The Lived Experience Coordinator will become a member of the Scottish Government’s Gender Identity Healthcare Reference Group (“the Group”), which is overseeing delivery of the “NHS gender identity services: strategic action framework 2022-2024

Although the Lived Experience Coordinator will be hosted in the Scottish Trans team within the Equality Network, they will be an independent voice representing the views, experiences and needs of trans and non-binary people in the ongoing work to improve gender identity healthcare services, via membership of the Group.

They will be expected to represent and champion the needs of people waiting to use, using, or who have used gender identity healthcare services, to the Group, to ensure that improvements to these services are understood and shaped by the people who need them.

Applicants should have lived experience of using or waiting to use gender identity healthcare services.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 5th September. Interviews will take place via Zoom in the week starting 12th September
