Equal Say is an independent advocacy organisation that does exactly this. We work with adults with disabilities or long term conditions to ensure they are having a full say in decisions that affect their lives. The service is free and anyone can make a referral to us if they have concerns about a person.

Advocacy Worker

We have several vacancies for advocacy workers across a number of projects, we have sector leading pay scales; placing on the scale is dependent on previous experience and starting at the top of the scale is possible for the right candidate.

We have projects delivering independent advocacy for people with addictions, people in receipt of self-directed support as well as our core project which covers mental ill health, learning disability and long-term conditions. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of disability or addiction or people with significant family experience.

Equal Say has been providing advocacy for people with disabilities/long term conditions since 1995. We want to recruit two new workers for our project in North Lanarkshire working with adults with addictions. Placing on the scale is dependent on previous experience.

We are shortly launching a new service for people affected by addictions and we want to recruit people with insight to the issues people with an addiction may face. We welcome applications from people with lived experience; this may be a person in recovery or a person with significant family experience of addiction. Funding is initially for 12 months but we expect this to be continued and extended.

Equal Say has been providing advocacy for people with disabilities since 1995. We want to recruit two new workers for our project in North Lanarkshire working with adults with disabilities, mental ill health and/or long-term conditions. We have 8 days per week worth of resource and this can be split between candidates on negotiated basis; for example, a 3 day and 5 day post or two 4 day posts.
