Across both service areas we provide varying support to a number of individuals including children and young people, adult services, complex supported living and holiday projects.

You must have the passion and drive to take a lead role in continuing to improve the quality of the services we provide to the people we support and to effectively lead and support seven Team Facilitators and Regional Admin Manager to manage and support our frontline staff.

This role is pivotal to the success of our mission and ambition to support people with a learning disability to lead the lives of their choosing; lives that are full, meaningful and inclusive. A successful Services Manager will lead their teams to develop and maintain good relationships and communications with the family and Social Care professionals involved in the lives of the people we support.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience of leading and managing Supported Living Services.
  • Experience of managing teams with knowledge of culture change.
  • A commitment to the inclusion of people with a learning disability.
  • Has previously been in a Registered Management position
  • An in-depth understanding of the Self Directed Support Act and its principles.
  • SVQ level 4 or the ability to work towards the relevant qualification required for your SSSC registration.
  • A clear understanding of the need to build and sustain partnerships with stakeholders, commissioners and other third sector providers.
  • The ability to lead our business strategy at a local level whilst promoting ENABLE Scotland with an emphasis on growing our business.
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.

Your role as an ENABLE Works Employment Coordinator is to support young people who have learning disabilities into employment, meeting the outcomes of the ENABLE Scotland service. Working on our Stepping Up- Schools programme in Fife, you will work closely with a group of people who have learning disabilities each year, getting to understand each person's work goals and then supporting them to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence.

You will be responsible for developing positive relationships with the programme participants, our schools partners and other stakeholders. You will work closely with local employers, developing professional relationships that will offer a diverse range of experiences and employment opportunities.

You will coordinate individual work experiences that suit each persons' goals and then support them to find the paid employment that will allow them to become independent, active members of their community.

You will be given performance targets to achieve each year to ensure that the programme participants are receiving a quality service and we are reaching the targets set out by our funders.

You will be an important member of the wider ENABLE Works team, supporting departmental objectives through delivery of support but also through positive collaboration and innovation within your team to support our strategic, societal goals.

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.

* SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent desirable not essential.

* Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.

* As a Team Facilitator, flexibility is essential. You will be required to work in line with service needs including some evening and weekend working and if required, to participate in the out of hours on call system.

I have a diagnosis of autism and as a result can display stressed and distressed behaviours towards myself and others. I require personal assistants who are able to confidently support me through this. I appear to understand more than I do, therefore, I require someone who is able to tailor their communication to ensure I am able to understand."

We are looking for a team of motivated and dedicated Personal Assistants to support this young man to adapt to his new found independence and work towards his own goals. In order to support this gentleman to achieve this your daily activities will include:

* Provide support to attend social activities within the community

* Assisting with shopping, meal planning and household chores

* Provided support to arrange and attending health appointments

We have a number of a permanent posts working on average 16 to 36 hours per week. These contracts require full flexibility between 7am - 10pm over 7 days a week with approximately 2 out of 4 weekends off. There may occasions when you will be required to work out with these hours however notice will be given in advance.

He is supported to get to know his local community again and develop a new activity plan. This involves activities he already enjoys and trying new things. He has great sense of humour, is fun to be around and has a close relationship with his family. He needs support with all aspects of daily living including his mobility and managing his anxieties. He enjoys music and swimming. He has his own car so it is preferable that his personal assistants have a full driving licence."

The Family Support Worker will work on a 1:1 basis with families, over a 6-8 week period, to develop a person centred, outcome focussed behaviour support plan. Some families may require a shorter or longer support period, but it is hoped that up to 15 families will have received individualised support throughout the life of the project.

This initiative is in place to provide support to parents/carers caring for their child with disabilities, funded until March 2019 through NHS Fife Carers Information Strategy Funding. The Family Support Worker will also deliver workshops for Parents and Carers. The workshops will offer person centred approaches to supporting children who have behaviour perceived as challenging.

Along with support in this gentlemans home, support activities would include hydro therapy, attending a day centre where he enjoys a range of activities. This young man likes to get out and about in his car which he requires his support to drive, visiting different places and going out for a meal. Experience is non essential as full training will be provided and shadows with the current team who are all experienced and know the young man very well .

* This young lady has autism and is currently supported in her own home. She is very proud of her independence and is very complex with a great memory. She would like someone who will be calm and jolly. She feels it is essential to have someone who will be understanding of her anxieties and will be committed to providing her with consistent reassurance surrounding these anxieties.

This will include supporting the her to be involved in the local community and to meet her aspirations in life that she is working towards. She would also like support to be more active, finding new activities and continuing with her college course. She would like to motivate her and encourage her but know her limits as it can take time for her to engage with the steps to move forward with her outcomes. She does not respond well to too much pressure. It would be good if you had some shared interests with her especially swimming. She is very good at art, likes to play games and enjoys going on holiday with her support workers.

This role would ideally suit someone who is an experienced Social Care Manager, Learning Disability Nurse or Social Work Professional who is looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities.

Based in Glasgow City Centre, you will be working alongside two other Services Managers from neighbouring local authority areas and take the lead role in continuing to improve the quality of the services we provide to the people we support and to effectively manage and support a team of 6 experienced Team Facilitators who manage our frontline support staff and the day to day running of our service provision. As the registered manager with Care Inspectorate, you will ensure the continuation of excellent quality in service provision for up to 60 individuals (children and adults) who receive bespoke services across Glasgow.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience of leading and managing dispersed support provision or relevant experience in professional disciplines which would enhance and develop our current service delivery.
  • Experience of managing individuals and large teams.
  • A commitment to the inclusion of people with a learning disability.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Self Directed Support Act, Adults with Incapacity Act and Adult Support and Protection/Child Protection, their principles and
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • SVQ level 4 and Leadership and Management Award or any other relevant qualification required for your SSSC registration
  • Knowledge of managing budgets, and ensuring financial compliance from various funding sources.
  • Experience of building and sustaining partnerships with stakeholders, commissioners and other third sector providers.
  • The ability to be creative to lead our business strategy at a local level whilst promoting ENABLE Scotland with an emphasis on growing our business.
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.

Your role as an ENABLE Works Employment Coordinator, within our Fair Start Scotland programme in Aberdeen, will support people who have learning disabilities to make progress towards and achieve employment.

You will work closely with a group of people who have learning disabilities each year, profiling their skills and jointly planning activity that will enable them to achieve their work goals and become independent, active members of their community.

You will be responsible for developing positive relationships with the programme participants, their circles of support and professional support services.

You will work closely with local partners, including employers, funders and other stakeholders, developing professional relationships that will offer a diverse range of experiences and opportunities.

You will be given a work plan to achieve in order that programme participants are receiving a quality service and we are achieving the expectations of funders and stakeholders, and you will be required to meet challenging but achievable programme KDIs.

You will be an important member of the wider ENABLE Works team, supporting departmental objectives through delivery of support but also through positive collaboration and innovation within your team to support our strategic, societal goals.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

Providing high quality support:

* Regular and accurate profiling of skills and recording of participant activity

* Active case management to ensure person-centred success

* Delivering support with fidelity to the individual project model

* Delivery of structured training to individuals and groups of participants

* Maintaining positive relationships with participants and their circles of support to ensure inclusive success

* Keeping accurate and up-to-date records ready for audit

* Recording and gathering project information in line with project timescales and work plan

* Handling and storing project information in line with ENABLE Scotland's data protection policy

* Reporting accurately on project activity when requested and in line with project timescales

* Active case management to ensure participants are achieving success

* Meeting and exceeding individual project expectations

* Innovating and collaborating across your team to support wider ENABLE Works performance

Contribution to strategy:

* Sharing best practice and opportunities with ENABLE Works colleagues
