An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Employer Engagement Coordinator (EEC) to join our team delivering the Inverclyde Employer Support Service, funded by Inverclyde Council.

The EEC will engage with Inverclyde employers and work collaboratively with them to promote and improve workforce diversity.

The EEC will work collaboratively with employers to help them gain an increased understanding of the support needs of current, or future employees, with disabilities. This will include, helping them to assess their recruitment and employee support practices and making a series of recommendations.

The EEC will deliver free training, on a range of subjects, with the aim of engaging staff at all levels.

The EEC will also offer in-work support and advice in relation to job enhancement, progression, retention and crisis management.

Main Duties and Accountabilities:

Marketing and promotion of programme to Inverclyde employers.

Working collaboratively with employers to support the evaluation of recruitment and staff support strategies; making recommendations to increase inclusion and diversity in each workplace.

Delivery of high-quality training to staff at all levels in partner organisations, making adaptations in terms of content where necessary for specific workplaces, or delivery methodology in line with specific learner requirements.

Delivery of in-work support and advice to employers in terms of staff development, progression, or retention.

Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service throughout all external partner engagements, as well as a focus on continuous improvement.

Managing professional relationships with stakeholders and employers to increase workplace accessibility and support the creation of opportunities for Inverclyde residents who have a disability.

Linking, and liaising between, Inverclyde employers and potential job/placement candidates’

About You

Essential Criteria:

Employment Coordinator

Your job will be to support parents who are in work, but are under-employed, who either have disabilities themselves, or who are parents of children with disabilities. Your role will be to support these parents develop in work, in partnership with their employers, to achieve an increase in labour market position.

You will work closely with a group of clients each year, profiling their skills and jointly planning activity that will enable them to achieve their work goals, upskill through training and support, and achieve progressions or sustainments in work.

You will have significant working knowledge of Aberdeen City and key employability stakeholders and sectors, as well as having a strong understanding of the local labour market and employer requirements.

A full UK drivers licence and access to a car for work purposes is desirable for this role. Working from home will make up a percentage of this role during COVID-19, with expectations of being office / community based in the future.

ENABLE Works are recruiting for a Digital Diversity Specialist, to bring in skills and abilities in developing new and exciting services and support, for young people in Dundee.

Your role as a Digital Diversity Specialist within ENABLE Works is to play an integral role in the development of a Digital Creativity Hub, in partnership with D&A College, to provide specialist training and support, alongside the established Digital Dundee partnership being delivered for neurodivergent individuals, interested in learning more about the digital sectors of employment.

You will work closely with learners and play a key role in identifying referrals for the Digital Dundee course, working closely with referral partners and organisations. You will support learners through courses, in collaboration with D&A College faculty. You will work with every learner, to ensure they progress into a positive destination, including supporting learners to secure paid employment opportunities, within the digital and tech sectors, whilst ensuring aftercare is delivered for every learner.

You will lead on partnership building with key employers in the digital and tech sectors in Dundee, and across Tayside, creating new links and partnerships to create opportunities for our clients and learners. This will require high-level negotiation and partnership skills, and ideally you will already have established relationships to build from.

About You

Working on the Fair Start Scotland service, in partnership with other organisations, you will be responsible for programme compliance and monitoring, and reporting to the service Delivery Manager, in line with the guidance and rules of this Scottish Government funded service. An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced Employer Engagement Coordinator to join our team delivering the Inverclyde Employer Support Service, funded by Inverclyde Council.

Working closely with the Diversity and Inclusion Manager, the Employer Engagement Coordinator (EEC) will engage and work collaboratively with employers across Inverclyde, to promote and improve workforce diversity.

Through networking and the effective promotion of programme aims and objectives, the EEC will actively market the programme to local employers, establishing a network of engaged organisations across Inverclyde.

The EEC will work collaboratively with employers to help them gain an increased understanding of the support needs of current or potential future employees with disabilities. This will include assessing their current recruitment and support practices and making a series of recommendations.

The EEC will deliver free training, on a range of subjects, to local organisations, with the aim of engaging staff at all levels and supporting Inverclyde employers to increase diversity within the workforce.

Your role as a Digital Diversity Specialist within ENABLE Works is to play an integral role in the development of a Digital Creativity Hub, in partnership with D&A College, to provide specialist training and support, alongside the established Digital Dundee partnership being delivered for neurodivergent individuals, interested in learning more about the digital sectors of employment.

You will work closely with learners and play a key role in identifying referrals for the Digital Dundee course, working closely with referral partners and organisations. You will support learners through courses, in collaboration with D&A College faculty. You will work with every learner, to ensure they progress into a positive destination, including supporting learners to secure paid employment opportunities, within the digital and tech sectors, whilst ensuring aftercare is delivered for every learner.

Practice Development Facilitator - Nursing

ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and we are looking for a Practice Development Facilitator (Nursing) to join us in ensuring they have the same opportunities as everyone else.

Practice development (PD) is the development and innovation in care settings so that people we support, carers and teams engage with each other in a person-centered way. Developing knowledge, skills and practice to change culture and organisation of care. It is helped through systemic and continuous processes of development and evaluation.

The Practice Development Facilitator - Nursing (PDF-N) will be first a level Registered Learning Disability Nurse and the primary job purpose is to support and work closely with the Practice Development Nurse and Practice Development Leads to provide high quality PD support to operational teams across ENABLE Scotland. The post holder will take responsibility for the facilitative management of workshops and training designed in line with personal outcomes, support needs and organisational priorities. The PDF-N will support and encourage good practice and skills through PD across the organisation to enhance the quality of support we provide.

This role includes:

  • Developing and delivering workshops for local support teams and responding appropriately to specific learning needs.
  • Engaging with individuals and teams to build on person centred approaches for the people we support.
  • Embedding required processes to facilitate achievement of outcomes and best practice.
  • Adhering to relevant policies, procedures, standards and frameworks of care for people with learning disabilities.
  • Providing assistance with the assessment of need and development of care plans utilising a person-centred approach inclusive of risk assessment, which promotes & improves the health and wellbeing of children, young people and adults who have a learning disability.
  • Supporting the Practice Development Lead Nursing with the review and implementation of bespoke development plans and risk assessments to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of the people we support.
  • Supporting the development of clinical governance pathways and contribute to the development and evaluation requirements of health related workstreams and policies
  • Supporting the learning needs of teams. To recognise need for and provide coaching and mentoring to teams to help achieve outcomes for people we support.

About You

Successful candidates must:

  • Be qualified as first level Registered Nurse Learning Disability RNLD with a current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC.
  • Have experience and knowledge of application of a Positive Behaviour Support framework PBS to meet the needs of people who have a learning disability.
  • Have experience of identifying unmet needs in people who have a learning disability, what is required to support these and how to review and achieve the required care plan outcomes.
  • Have experience of supporting positive health and quality of life outcomes for people who have a learning disability and complex needs.
  • Have experience of assessing, planning, delivering and reviewing person-centred care.
  • Have a sound knowledge of person centred, outcomes focused approaches in delivery of care
  • Have knowledge of up-to-date strategy and reports in relation to people who have a learning disability.
  • Understand national legislation and policy
  • Have experience of presenting information to groups of people

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to deliver a proactive health and safety service across the group, by providing competent technical and legal advice to all staff in a multi-site organisation and will be responsible for developing and maintaining safety management systems.

This role is to fully contribute and actively participate in management of the overall health and safety across the organisation, including accident and incident reporting and analysis and supporting managers and staff, liaison with external organisations is required.

The role holder will provide expert advice, guidance and support to ensure that all legal obligations on health and safety are met, ensuring a safe environment and excellent quality of service for people we support and the staff who support them. The promotion of a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation which supports staff and people we support alike is required.

About You

Successful candidates must have significant experience within a Health & Safety management role and be a graduate or chartered member of IOSH.

Candidates must have up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and experience in delivering training.

Experience of developing and implementing safe systems of work is essential, ideally within in the social care sector.

Your role is to lead one of five ENABLE Works regional areas, delivering support services across Dundee and the surrounding areas, including leading our All in Dundee Consortium to deliver Employability Services on behalf of Dundee City Council.
