About the job

We are looking for a client-focused experienced telephone triage support assistant to join our ever expanding team. This role is our front line contact, answering our busy helpline and dealing with a range of tasks, such as managing clients waiting times and expectations, arranging and co-ordinating appointments with both generalist and specialist advisers, taking and relaying messages and providing administration support to our Session Supervisor.

The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills. You will have relevant experience, excellent customer service skills and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency using a range of IT tools to carry out your work as well as a sound knowledge and proven experience of databases, websites, social media and Microsoft Office applications is essential. Committed, results-driven and supportive to the needs of others, you work well within a team and are willing to follow and develop agreed procedures.

We are expanding our team and are looking for a client-focused individual with experience of providing welfare benefits advice, to join us as a Multi Digital Adviser. In this role you will help ensure our clients get the support they need face to face, by telephone, e-mail, video conferencing and webchat in locations throughout Dundee.

The successful candidate will demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge of the wider welfare benefit system including Universal Credit, demonstrating strong oral and written communication skills. We are also looking for a proven ability to work effectively and well organised. Money Advice Triage Assistant

Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for an enthusiastic money advice triage worker to join our advice team and make a real difference to their community. The role will be based in our office at Dundee Central Library with some home-working flexibility.

The money advice triage worker will primarily work alongside the Money Advice Supervisor and money advice team. They will deal with requests for advice via telephone, face to face, e-mail and video conferencing and are expected to demonstrate and adhere to good practice in all aspects of this work.

The triage worker will support all aspects of Money advice, including gathering information from initial contacts to the bureau, creating appointments and handling referrals to and from external agencies as necessary.

Experience of giving advice is desirable and energy and benefit advice experience will be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have good IT skills as the role will provide advice using face to face appointments, phone, email and video calls.

We are looking for excellent admin skills, strong organisational abilities and a good telephone manner. The ability to communicate well is essential.

Volunteer Support Worker

Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau is seeking to employ a support worker to work with our volunteers and paid staff in a training and support role to ensure that we provide an excellent quality service delivery to our clients and to ensure that we are fully compliant with our Citizens Advice Scotland quality of advice Standards and Scottish National Standards.

Reporting to our Volunteer Training & Quality Supervisor the successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Supporting new and existing volunteer through initial training and induction.

• Providing session support to staff and volunteers

• Case checking to ensure compliance

• Marketing volunteering opportunities and recruitment

• Delivering training to new and existing volunteers and staff.

This is an exciting role for candidates who are highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a commitment to the CAB ethos and volunteerism. The post requires excellent organisational and communication skills and successful candidates will have experience of working in the advice sector, supporting volunteers and have experience of delivering training and support.

Experience of advice delivery in a CAB setting would be advantageous but not essential.
