Top job! Deputy Chief Executive Officer

  • Full time
  • Circa £35,000
  • Falkirk and District (Head office Falkirk but currently working from home)
  • Closing 10th October 2021

CVS Falkirk & District is recognised by Scottish Government and Falkirk Community Planning Partnership as the third sector interface for the Falkirk area. We have a primary role in ensuring the continuation and development of a vibrant third sector (charities, social enterprises, community and voluntary groups) in Falkirk.

We’re looking to recruit for the first time, a Deputy Chief Executive, someone who is an exceptional leader and motivator that can support the organisation through its next stage of development. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, who in turn reports to a Board of Trustees, and in this role, you will be expected to deputise, as well as take specific responsibility for managing staff working on a range of projects, and in a range of operational roles. You will have a key role in contact management, oversight and reporting, as well as representing the organisation in meetings both nationally and locally, as we are active in locality-based community planning and in helping community organisations to strengthen their capacity and capability.

The successful candidate will be a consummate networker, politically astute, with experience of business development, being able to quickly operationalise ideas, problem solve and get things done in collaboration with others.

Applications are welcomed from individuals currently working in the Public, Private and Third Sectors. We welcome applications from people in underrepresented groups, and from those looking to work flexibly. We are currently working at home and can offer a significant level of flexibility in respect of location, although some physical presence in Falkirk and District will be necessary to carry out the role effectively.
