CHAP, a charitable organisation based in the West Coast of Scotland, are looking for a Fundraising and Business Development Executive to join our successful team who, in 2020, secured in excess of one million pounds worth of financial gains for our clients. But we want to do better! Therefore, we are looking to add a Fundraising and Development professional to the team. This is a role where the incumbent can really make a difference in supporting the vulnerable in our society.

CHAP provides independent advice and information on housing, welfare rights and debt issues, free of any charge, to people in crisis across Ayrshire. We exist to provide hope and to stand alongside our clients as they grapple with some of life’s most difficult challenges. We give those who need our help a voice.

The Fundraising and Development Executive is a senior position who will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. It is therefore crucial that the successful candidate is a dynamic, goal oriented, self-starter with a proven track record who is ready to take on the challenges of the third sector. They will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide variety of people as well as proven ability to successfully negotiate new business opportunities.

A driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.

Keyworker

But we want to do better! Therefore, we are looking to add a Keyworker to the team. This is a role where the successful candidate can really make a difference in supporting the vulnerable in our society.

We exist to provide hope and to stand alongside our clients as they grapple with some of life’s most difficult challenges. We give those who need our help a voice.

We are currently recruiting a Keyworker to support the delivery of the ‘Better Off North Ayrshire’ programme which is being led by North Ayrshire Council. This new project is a two-year pilot (running to March 2023) which is being delivered through a Public Social Partnership co-production model and aims to deliver advice services through a ‘whole-person’ approach. The Keyworker will have a pivotal role and the successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of, and ability to assimilate, the legislative framework informing debt advice, as well as experience of working with service users in an empowering capacity across all elements of their lives to achieve longer term positive outcomes. Applicants should also have experience of representing and negotiating on behalf of clients. A sound knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation would be beneficial.
