We are recruiting for a Young person and Volunteer Coordinator

to work within our Intandem Mentoring Service, to co-ordinate and oversee the effective delivery of a high-quality mentoring service for care experienced children and young people, within the Glasgow and North Lanarkshire areas.

How you will make a difference:

  • Develop positive, respectful and compassionate relationships with service users and their families, focusing on their strengths and aspirations as individuals.
  • Develop positive and supportive relationships with your team of volunteers.
  • Develop strong working partnerships with schools and social work services.

What you will bring:

  • Personal values aligned with Ypeople’s core values
  • SVQ Level 3 or HNC level or equivalent (or willing to work towards)
  • Understanding of current relevant legislation and policies relating to children and young people.
  • Awareness of the issues facing young people who are care-experienced

We are recruiting for a Development Worker to provide tenancy support within the Glasgow Key Fund service.

How you will make a difference:

  • Assessing, and progressing all referrals made to the service in line with service specification.
  • Effective engagement with landlords and letting agents in the management of properties, ensuring they are fit for purpose and comply with legal, health and safety and corporate standards.
  • Arranging and facilitating tenancy support with service users to meet contractual requirements and individual need and Compiling and reviewing service user risk assessments.
  • Assist service users to engage and integrate into the local community.
  • The post holder will provide a tenancy management service to homeless households in temporary accommodation with Ypeople.

What you will bring:

  • Personal values aligned with Ypeople’s core values
  • SVQ level 2/3, SCQF equivalent or an appropriate Housing qualification, or willingness to undertake
  • Housing Law, Information and Advice Standards qualification, or willingness to undertake
