The Capital City Partnership, established in 1998 as Edinburgh’s Social Inclusion Partnership is now the delivery body for the city’s employability strategy and programme. Its key tasks are to advise, support and develop the city’s Jobs Strategy and Partnership and to contract, performance manage and improve the outcomes from all of the city’s locally funded employability services.
The Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal have a skills element called the Integrated Regional and Employability Skills. This post has been funded to lead the Integrated Employer Engagement theme but will also be required to link into the other City Region themes where relevant. The Edinburgh and South East Scotland is a change fund, to bring better regional alignment and facility change on how we work together and make better use of opportunities and economic growth. This approach is about getting existing employability and related services to work better collectively and bring about genuine, joined up and sustainable integration. It requires significant regional partnership working to be at the heart of all approaches.
Capital City Partnership are seeking an Integration and Change Officer to support the delivery of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a sound understanding of the employability sector and is looking to use their skills in a regional setting to effect change, create a regional solution to integrating information systems and facilitate inclusive growth.
This is a Fixed Term position until 2022 with the possibility of extension and is part of the Employer Engagement Team at Capital City Partnership (CCP) and funded through partnership working by Essential Edinburgh.
It will be based within the FUSE recruitment & training suite at Edinburgh St James, with flexible working at CCP, 165A Leith Walk, Edinburgh, EH8 6NR as appropriate.
The post will require a flexible approach (including occasional evening or weekend working). It will require a strong recruitment skillset and elevated level of employer and partnership working to grow and deliver the Strategic Vision of the FUSE Steering Group.
The Employer Engagement Executive is pivotal to the success of the FUSE Recruitment & Skills offering and will work directly to the FUSE Manager to ensure the smooth and successful implementation and running of FUSE, supporting recruitment and consistently delivering high level engagement with employers.
