Youth Work Coordinator

Sikh Sanjog is a local charity which aims to provide a range of quality opportunities for Sikh and other Minority Ethnic women and their families which reflect their educational, recreational, cultural and social needs recognizing the potential for lifelong learning and social inclusion. Through a combination of community work, youth work and our Social Enterprise Community Café we aim to address the unmet needs of this group. We deliver this through a combination of paid workers and volunteers.

This role would be ideally suited to candidates who have previous experience working with young people.

We are at an exciting and challenging stage in our organisational development.

Our aim is to continue in our effective support for youth work, youth groups and young people whilst looking to further develop and innovate the service we currently provide.

A key area in development is our work with local schools in order to raise awareness of cultural barriers faced by Sikh and BME communities.

We have identified the need for this role which will suit candidates who are passionate about empowering young people and supporting youth workers and volunteers. If this is you we want to hear from you!
