Children's Neighbourhood Scotland Local Coordinator (Glasgow/South Lanarkshire)

  • Full time
  • £29,176 – £32,817
  • Glasgow City Centre & South Lanarkshire
  • Closing 2nd April 2020

Based in the University of Glasgow - and working with the Glasgow Centre for Population Health, Children’s Neighbourhoods Scotland (CNS) takes a place-based approach to improving outcomes for children and young people in neighbourhoods with high levels of poverty. We work in partnership with children and young people, their families, local public, private and third sector organisations to support existing efforts and services in CNS neighbourhoods to help tackle the big issues currently making it difficult for children and young people to live happy and healthy lives.

The programme is establishing six CNS sites, four in urban areas, one in small town and one in a rural community. Further information about CNS can be found on the website

Each Children's Neighbourhoods site has a Local Coordinator based in the neighbourhood and supported by the CNS team. The Local Coordinator is the visible expression of CNS in a community, facilitating collaboration with local organisations, families and children and young people, and aligning efforts to support change. Currently, there are two CNS sites, Bridgeton and Dalmarnock in Glasgow's east end and Clydebank in West Dunbartonshire.

We are now looking to appoint Local Coordinators for the four remaining sites. Two of these posts will be based in the City of Glasgow and two in the South Lanarkshire Council area.
