The postholder will undertake a senior managerial role within the organisation, with responsibility for managing service delivery and a wider remit for working with the Management Team at the Centre. This role will specifically oversee the strategic direction and management of the Independent Living Services, including the Self-Directed Support Team, Short Breaks Service and our new group work programme ensuring that carers and disabled people have the support and information to live independently.

Personal Care Assistant

Personal Care Assistants are required for woman living with partner and two playful cats in family home in Dundee. Duties will include assisting with personal care and daily living tasks. An ideal candidate should have good communication skills, be physically fit, reliable, a good listener, patient, understanding and able to do tasks under instruction, though also to work with initiative. It is also essential that you are a ‘cat lover’ and not allergic and have a great sense of humour. Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

You will be joining an already established team and will be required for the weekend. The hours are Saturday and Sunday 10am – 12 noon and 10pm – 11pm. You must also be available to cover through the week if one of the other PA’s are sick or on holiday.

Hourly rate: £11.30 per hour.

The Self-directed Support Service exists to support people to employ their own Personal Assistants and/or purchase services using direct payments. As an organisation we are not the employer, but assist people to look for staff if they need them. If you are employed, your contract will be with the person in receipt of Option1 (Direct Payment) and not with the Self-directed Support Service.
