JOB PURPOSE

Develop and manage a team of staff to provide a range of services to all Carers to:

• Ensure Carers are better supported to enable them to continue in their caring role:
• Empower carers to have their voices heard, their rights acknowledged, and their concerns addressed
• Enable carers to gain access to relevant information and explore their options to make informed choices
• Increase the quality of life, the Health and well-being of Carers
• Increase the confidence of carers and enable them to express their views when communicating with professionals
• Enable carers to continue in their caring role

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 25 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring.

The Centre is strategically managed by the Board, which is currently made up of people from a range of professional backgrounds and caring responsibilities. We are looking for new members with a diverse range of skills and experience to help shape the future for Carers in Renfrewshire.

Key skills and experience are we particularly interested in are:

• Fundraising and income generation
• Legal
• Digital strategies
• Business and Marketing development
• Health & social care.

We are looking to recruit for a new post within the Centre for a Development and Fundraising assistant to develop and sustain services for Carers.

Details of the role including main duties and responsibilities:

• To assist in developing Carer led services in Renfrewshire.
• To assist in securing funding to develop and sustain services.
• Consult with Carers to identify gaps in services.
• Research new and innovative services for Carers.

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• Experience of Project Development
• Experience of fundraising and successful funding opportunities
• Experience of monitoring and evaluation
• Excellent communication skills

• Represent Carers and act on their behalf, if required
• Make Carers aware of their rights

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the principles of Advocacy

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one-stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 20 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support Carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring. We are looking to recruit for a new post within the Centre for an HR Advisor to develop and sustain services for Carers.

Details of the role including main duties and responsibilities:

• To deliver a high quality, comprehensive and effective range of generalist HR services to management

• To assist and support managers through all stages of the absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures

• To provide professional advice and support to managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures

• To review and update / develop policies

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• CIPD Qualification

• Sound HR generalist experience, with experience and aptitude for developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures.

• General knowledge of current and forthcoming employment law, case law and best practice.

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one-stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 20 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support Carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring. Our Adult Carer Support Team support in excess of 600 new Carers referred to the Carers Centre annually

Details of the role including main duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that all adult unpaid Carers have knowledge of and access to the range of advice, information, and support services available through the Carers Centre, statutory, voluntary, private, and alternative services.
• To promote and encourage Carers to consider completing an Adult Carer Support Plan to allow them to lead a fulfilling life alongside their caring role.
• Provide 1-1 support to Carers and to include emotional support, if required.
• To liaise with all community and statutory partners to increase the identification and recognition of unpaid Carers.

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• Experience of assessing individual’s needs and developing action plans
• Experience of monitoring and evaluation using outcome tools
• HNC social care or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one-stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 20 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support Carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring. Our Respite service currently provides 140 hours of respite a week for approximately 35 Unpaid Carers.

Details of the role including main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a range of respite services to provide a range of high quality services to Carers and their families.
• Responsible for the recruitment, induction, training, and supervision of respite staff
• Ensure that services provided are in line with relevant legislation, regulations and policies.
• Carry out home visits to Carers and vulnerable people in their homes to assess their needs, carry out risk assessments and develop support plans.

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• Experience of organising a care provision service and care planning.
• Experience managing staff
• Ability to support Carers sensitively and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one-stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 20 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support Carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring. Our Respite service currently provides 140 hours of respite a week for approximately 35 Unpaid Carers. We currently have over 50 volunteers who are managed by the Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Details of the role including main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop and manage a range of respite services to provide a range of high quality services to carers and their families.

• Direct Line Management and development of staff responsible for volunteers and respite

• Develop new respite initiatives.

• Develop and implement a Volunteering Strategy.

Successful candidates will have qualification and or experience in the following areas:

• Experience of organising a care provision service and care planning.

• Experience managing staff

• Registered with SSSC as a Manager of a Care at Home service or willing to obtain this.

• Registered Manager status with the Care Inspectorate or willing to obtain this.
