This is an exciting opportunity to join CASWA (Caithness and Sutherland Women’s Aid) as Manager responsible for the day to day management of the organisation.

The Organisation

CASWA is an organisation for women, children and young people in Caithness and Sutherland. It is the only agency in this vast rural geographical area providing specialist support services to meet the needs of all women, children and young people (boys and girls) who experience domestic abuse/ violence against women.

What You’ll Do

Working with an experienced team and Board of Directors, you will manage all aspects of CASWA to a high standard of operational delivery; to ensure that the strategic goals of the organisation meet the needs of all stakeholders including service users, staff and funders and that CASWA values are met. You will deliver CASWA’s business plan whilst ensuring the financial viability of the organisation, be responsible for overall staff management and maintain and develop excellent working relationships with external partners.

What We Need

The successful candidate will have management experience, including financial management, service development and delivery, experience of strategic planning and developing and reviewing policies and procedures. Line management experience is also essential.

We’re looking for someone who has

• Qualifications sufficient to register with Scottish Social Services Council, or the ability to undertake further study to do so

• You will have an understanding of the effects and issues surrounding Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women

• Membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a requirement for this post.
