We now have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Projects Coordinator to join the CNPA to develop and maintain a family of Cairngorms National Park and Park Authority websites, including the redevelopment of cairngorms.co.uk.

The Role:

As the Digital Projects Coordinator you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a family of Cairngorms National Park and Park Authority websites, including the redevelopment of cairngorms.co.uk. Meaning that you will help to ensure the smooth organisational communications operation of the CNPA.

You will coordinate the design, delivery, testing and evaluation of a suite of digital platforms that meet the needs of the organisation and our target audiences, and ensure the Park Authority leads the way in adopting and sharing best practice in areas such as web accessibility, search engine optimisation and user experience. About You:

To be considered as our Digital Projects Coordinator, you’ll need:

  • Knowledge and experience of website and app design, including the use of PHP, HTML and Javascript, as well as database development
  • Knowledge and experience of building, configuring, maintaining, analysing and optimising websites

The Role:

About You:

To be considered as our Head of Finance and Corporate Operations, you’ll need:

  • The post-holder must be either a finance or ICT professional, holding either a CCAB accountancy qualification or a professional ICT qualification,
  • The post-holder must show a demonstrable capacity to establish strategic plans and lead teams across both finance and ICT disciplines;
  • The post-holder must have experience of managing staff, and demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and develop staff in a multi-disciplinary team;
  • The post-holder must have the capacity to work autonomously of frequent senior management supervision;
  • The post-holder must be able to demonstrate ability to make sound judgements on the handling of controversial and sensitive issues;
  • The post holder must have an understanding of programme management principles, and in particular be sensitive to and have demonstrable experience of managing issues around programme resourcing where elements of finance and staff resource required, or where delivery of some required outputs, may be dependent on the cooperation of other managers within the organisation;
  • The post-holder must have demonstrable expertise and knowledge of their programme area and evidence the skills and experience to support their delivery of the role;

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Clerk to the Board (Maternity Cover) to join the CNPA and oversee the organisation and efficient delivery of all Board, Committee and governance meetings and events, including supervising other staff to plan, prepare and coordinate these meetings.

The Role:

As the Clerk to the Board you will provide support to the Board including ensuring that papers and reports are of high quality and published within deadlines for statutory committees, which can involve influencing staff at a higher level to adhere to procedures regarding quality and deadlines. This means you should have great organisational and time keeping skills.

You will ensure that Board/Committee/Governance meetings and events are set up and delivered to a high standard, including overseeing other staff to deliver this where appropriate, and produce accurate and concise minutes which accurately record: complex, strategic-level information; the discussions around agenda items; and the actions of meetings meaning you will have a great eye for detail and develop good working relationships with other CNPA colleagues.

You will provide support to the convener and deputy as required including mailbox and diary management and responding to straightforward queries and requests and oversee the management of Board members’ calendars and diaries and forward plan a schedule of events/committees. Affording you the opportunity to understand the administration of the National Park Authority.

- Must be able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner;

- Working knowledge of office information systems, including the ability to produce statistical and management information when required;

- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work pro-actively to manage any issues which may arise.

- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills;

- Computer and IT literate; and,

- Flexible approach to working patterns some weekend and evening work may be required.

The Role:

As the Information Manager you will lead on updating the organisational approach and embed best practice to information management and governance. Ensuring that all information, data, records, and requests for access to those records handled by the CNPA are effectively managed in accordance with statutory requirements and internal policies. About You:

To be considered as our Information Manager, you’ll need:

  • A degree level qualification (e.g. MA/MSc) in a relevant subject, for example, Records or Information Management, Information Governance Law or demonstrable equivalent relevant training and experience of the areas of work for which the role is responsible
  • Experience of handling freedom of information requests and environmental information requests.
  • Experience of handling complaints and corresponding with members of the public in an empathetic and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, Data Protection Act 1998 and Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011.
  • Ability to work flexibly using sound judgement, evidence and knowledge to arrive at practical solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent written skills, ability to draft complex complaint and information responses as well as creating and revising policies and procedures to comply with information legislation
  • Ability to apply judgement in the application of specialist knowledge to advise and inform staff at all levels of the requirements of information legislation
  • IT skills – word processing, spread sheets, data bases;
