Liber8 are looking to appoint people to our new service, Rehabilitation to Reintegration (R2R) This is a new service for people’s journey post discharge from residential rehabilitation (RR), returning to South Lanarkshire.
The service would operate on two strands: practical and emotional support and personal development planning. R2R will help individuals leaving residential rehabilitation navigate the landscape they’re returning to. Support workers will work with the person to establish and access recovery opportunities and activities within the Beacons and also link them with wider services where necessary, including mutual aid, housing, benefits, and other wraparound networks.
The post is aimed at mentoring and supporting people at this critical transitioning stage of their lives. The postholder will help the person to build recovery capital, increase confidence while encouraging them to achieve their full potential: together setting realistic goals to assist in their own individual recovery journey.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have some or all of the following: an SVQ Level 3 qualification in Social Services and Health Care (or an equivalent qualification) and experience of holding a responsible position in this field of work or similar. Our Administrators have a varied role, they could be working within Liber8s counselling services, involving office processes and operations, including client management systems or within our Beacons Initiative where the postholder would have overall responsibility for the general operation of the individual Beacon, providing all administration functions including, opening / closing; upkeep of the office environment and maintenance of office equipment, facilities and stationery, including managing the effective inventory of hardware, equipment and software.
Main Purpose:
Administrators are often be the liaison person between people contacting the office for a variety of reasons and one role is to ensure the callers enquires or referrals are addressed, perhaps linking them with the most appropriate staff member from the wider team. The postholders function will be to make those connections smooth and flexible for both parties as you will often act as the first person of contact, his includes being responsible for referrals, and often undertaking the initial call with the person, explaining the benefits, structure and ethos of our organisation. Depending on the specific service the postholder is attached to there may be additional roles specific to that service.
The postholder would also manage the booking system in terms of activities and training; provide administration and reception duties; gathering relevant data while also supporting the team’s coordination of activities and events. The Recovery Worker will also assist in the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with relevant statutory and voluntary agencies, facilitating people’s pathway and access to The Beacons and recovery. This includes working closely with Community Addiction Recovery Services (CAReS) and other commissioned ADP services to ensure clear pathways for people to the Beacons.

Main Purpose:
The postholder, will provide specialist counselling/therapy and group work to individuals, who have experienced alcohol and or substance use and associated issues. Demonstrable Experience of working in the area of alcohol and or substance use and facilitating, or co-facilitating therapy groups is a requirement for this post. The postholder may work in Liber8 and throughout each of the Beacons depending on demand.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for two experienced professional development workers with the appropriate qualification and experience. If you have experience of project development and implementation and are passionate about issues affecting women, including substance use and gender-based violence then we want to hear from you.
The successful candidates will undertake outreach activities in each of South Lanarkshire’s four localities; this will facilitate the necessary networking, connections and collaborative practices between colleagues and relevant stakeholders. They will work collaboratively with their WALSER colleagues who will be providing 1-1 specialist support to women, children and young people (WCYP) who have, or are experiencing domestic abuse.
The post holders, along with the project lead will gather data incorporating a needs-based assessment within each of the 4 localities in South Lanarkshire (Hamilton/Blantyre; Clydesdale/Lanark; Cambuslang/Rutherglen and East Kilbride) and tailoring and developing responses to those needs. In addition, they will deliver community awareness raising in order to tackle stigma and discrimination and raise awareness of gender-based violence implementing communication, dissemination and awareness raising strategies to promote our activities, linking in with partners, statutory and third sector. We are seeking to recruit experienced therapists to enhance and complement the existing work of Liber8’s counselling services. The post holder/s will provide specialist counselling and group work to individuals, who may have experienced substance use, trauma PTSD, debilitating anxiety, and other complex presentations.
The post holders would be expected to deliver evidence-based techniques, recommended by NICE/SIGN as, effective approaches in healing, mental health issues, dissociative disorders, grief, addictions, and the effects of abuse; aimed at the treatment and resolution of the presenting issue and associated trauma.
Experience of working in the area of substance use, trauma, disorders, facilitating or co-facilitating therapy groups is desirable.
