An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Support Workers to join our dedicated team, working with children and young people who have caring responsibilities in Fife.

We are looking for creative and energetic individuals, with experience of working with vulnerable young people aged up to 25 years.

The post holders will be responsible for the provision of Young Carers Statements to children and young people in Fife. The post holders will provide direct support to young carers and provide training to other agencies regarding the provision of Young Carers Statements. Befriending Co-ordinator

Fife Young Carers is a highly regarded charitable organisation based in Lochgelly which provides Fife wide support to children and young adults who care for members of their family who are affected by illness or disability.

We require a Befriending Coordinator to market and deliver an exciting befriending project. You will be responsible for providing a befriending service to Young Carers who are socially isolated and for recruiting and supporting a network of volunteer befrienders.

You must be enthusiastic, have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving, be computer literate, an effective networker, self-starter and proven team player. Experience of training volunteers and supporting young people in the above context would be an advantage.

We are looking for creative and energetic individuals, with experience of working with vulnerable children and young people in a variety of settings. The successful candidates will have great communication and organisational skills and be able to work sensitively with children and young people of all ages. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment and review of the support needs of children and young people.

The post-holder will be responsible for supporting a team providing holistic support to young carers across Fife. Alongside their line management responsibilities the post-holder will support their team in the delivery of service provision as required.

Reporting directly to Fife Young Carers’ Manager, the post-holder will be part of a team of staff and volunteers, all of whom are expected to contribute to the design and delivery of services to young carers and to the development of the organisation.

To achieve this the post-holder will be required to form links between Fife Education Directorate and Fife Young Carers.
