Youth Worker

WANTED: grown-up teenager (any age!) with a passion for God, to reach and inspire Auchterarder’s young people with God’s love! APC has an exciting vacancy for an experienced, full-time Youth Worker for our church and community. Might that be you?

Our Youth Worker will share our vision to see young people come to a vibrant Christian faith, grow in discipleship, and learn to serve the Church and the world. While Sunday worship is central to our church life, we want to be church in our community 24/7. Youth ministry is a key part of our vision to develop our Community Church Centre as “A dynamic community hub where people of all ages are shown God’s love by being welcomed, respected and supported towards the fullness of life that God intends.”

There are three areas of key responsibility within this role:

Church, School and Community.

Cafe Manager

We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic café manager for our new community café! This pilot project (initially 2 days a week for one year) will develop the Christian witness of our already successful Church Centre.

We are seeking a motivated person to take forward the exciting position of managing our Church Centre’s new café, initially in a pilot project (2 days per week for one year). The cafe manager will have a passion for the people visiting our Church Centre and must be able to create and maintain a warmly hospitable cafe environment for the local community, showing Christian love in action. Overseen by the minister and the Kirk Session, who support the Centre Management Team, the successful candidate must be able to work with the Ministers, staff and volunteers, including volunteer helpers from the local secondary school with whom we are forming a partnership.
