Parkhead Development Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Parkhead Housing Association Ltd providing in-house services throughout Parkhead Glasgow. PDC currently carries out close cleaning and estate management services across the PHA stock and provides cleaning and caretaking staff for the Association’s office and community hub. Parkhead Development Company has a vision to provide employment opportunities for members of the local community and currently employs over 20 members of staff.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Chairperson to join our Board. The successful candidate will require an understanding of the sector and environment within which PDC operate and possess the type of personal qualities expected of an experienced Chair including –

  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an active listener
  • An ability to interpret complex information
  • A committed & diplomatic individual

The position is voluntary but all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

Parkhead Housing Association is looking to recruit the above post to join our Board on a co-opted basis. The Board is looking to appoint a co-optee with a specific Housing Association Governance and/or a financial background to help the Association to continue to grow and develop in this particular area. The Board are currently going through a period of review and transition but are also keen to build upon the experience of the current Board and the good work carried out by the Association. The position is on a voluntary basis however out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Full training and induction will be provided.
