We are seeking an experienced community development practitioner with a substantial track record of working with local people to identify needs and develop successful projects and services.
The successful candidate will be a “social entrepreneur” with excellent knowledge of funding frameworks, great project management skills and an ability to make things happen. They will need to be a team player, capable of developing strong and effective partnerships with local organisations and agencies to maximise the benefit for the local area.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is able to work with potential service providers (e.g. local colleges) in order to organise the delivery of activities which will support and benefit the local community. The post-holder will be responsible for managing and maximising the use of the Calvay Centre.
Calvay Housing Association is a community-based RSL operating in the Barlanark neighbourhood of Greater Easterhouse, Glasgow. The Association's housing stock comprises 826 units, made up from a mixture of improved tenemental properties, new build flats and houses. The Association also provides a factoring service to local owner-occupiers who reside within the Association's area of operation.
We have recently changed the structure of our front line operational team with the aim of delivering exemplary service to all our customers and achieving our strategic objectives which put housing and the community at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Officer to join the team and be an integral part of this successful operation.
As Senior Maintenance Officer you will lead and manage the operations of Repairs, Maintenance and Asset Management service and oversee the Association’s void management and planned and cyclical maintenance, whilst ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Calvay Housing Association (CHA) is based in Barlanark, part of Greater Easterhouse. Calvay is a member of Easterhouse Housing Regeneration Alliance (EHRA).
We are a medium sized housing association with 825 properties in management. We have a mixture of property types; the original stock acquired from GCC in the 80s, new-build properties and ‘second stage’ transfer properties. We will be developing another 43 high-quality homes for social rent with a planned site start date later in 2021. We also provide factoring services to 105 owners and lease one commercial unit which is used as a local shop.
Calvay HA is based at the Calvay Centre which is also offers office space to the Quarriers charity. The Centre has an IT suite, is home to Calvay Community Café, and has a hall which is rented out for a variety of activities.
