An opportunity has arisen for the non-executive post of Association Treasurer. This is a voluntary position offering a tremendous professional development opportunity for someone who is in a finance and corporate management role, ideally connected to the economic development profession.
The Treasurer chairs the Finance and Governance Committee which meets quarterly. These meetings are held in normal office hours and are virtual at present (Zoom or Teams), although this can be revisited if desired dependent on circumstances. This post is with immediate effect.
Together with Board and Office Bearer/essential meetings, the commitment is of the order of a meeting or so per month. All routine financial transactions and processes are managed by our executive team and accountancy professionals. The Treasurer role is principally to ensure good financial governance and comprises oversight of quarterly financial reports to the main Board, review and sign-off of annual accounts and reporting to our AGM.
