Glasgow Night Shelter exists to protect people who are not only street homeless but who have no support network in the form of friends or relatives and are without recourse to public funds. Since 2011, the charity has provided somewhere safe and warm for destitute asylum seekers to stay overnight, 365 nights a year. The shelter is staffed by experienced support workers who help signpost the guests to health and legal services. The staff team are in turn supported by a large and committed pool of volunteers, who also stay overnight.

Glasgow Night Shelter is seeking a Project Director. The Project Director is required to lead the coproduction of a pilot accommodation-based pathway for destitute asylum seekers in Glasgow, and to direct the operation and development of the Night Shelter.

This is a full-time post and is part-funded (80%) by the National Lottery Community Fund for 15 months.
