Tiphereth is a Camphill Community founded in 1993, situated at the foot of the Pentland Hills in Edinburgh. We are a charity delivering an outstanding care and support service based on equality and celebrating the unique potential of each individual. We have cultural and spiritual roots inspired by the works of Karl Koenig and Rudolf Steiner. Tiphereth provides quality professional Residential, Day Services and Social Enterprises for people with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs. Our community is underpinned by Social Pedagogy, creating a culture of living and working together in safe and supportive relationships.

Co-Worker

At Tiphereth we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Day Service Co-Worker in our, outdoor land, estates and community gardening group, the Peregrine Group.

You will provide support and motivation to people with learning disabilities to participate in meaningful work on the land, in community gardening and estates maintenance. You will be enthusiastic and positive about the potential of people to participate, learn and grow. You will bring experience of support work and knowledge of land based work such as gardening or conservation. You need to work well as part of a team, have good communication skills and be motivated by Camphill’s values and ethos. A full driving licence including willingness to drive a minibus is an essential requirement.

The Peregrine Group works in partnership with other social organisations, helping to make a difference by contributing their skills and time for social good and the benefit of others. Tiphereth is a Camphill community in Edinburgh based around supported accommodation, social enterprises and day services for adults with learning disabilities and other support needs.

Community Co-Workers

We are seeking a number of confident and supportive individuals who value the concept of social equality and have a willingness to support people with learning disabilities and autism to maximise their potential and life opportunities.

We have this year developed a new supported living project within our Community. You will be joining an innovative and creative environment to support the residents of our supported living houses. You will work as part of a team to support each individual to maintain their tenancy, build relationships and have a happy life.

Furthermore supporting people to access a range social and cultural experiences and meaningful work to enhance their life experience and holistic wellbeing.

The hours of work are variable depending on the individual needs of our members, but will involve evening and weekend work.

In return you can expect a competitive salary starting at £18,592.40 per annum (subject to increase in line with Scottish Living wage) and a generous 36 days paid leave.

Tiphereth, Camphill in Edinburgh, is a unique charity in the Colinton area of Edinburgh. We are a community consisting of residential care, social enterprises and a growing day service.

All post holders will be required to join the PVG scheme and register with the SSSC within the first six months of employment. Ideally candidates will have previous work experience in a similar setting and hold a professional qualification at SCQF level 6.

We have a vacancy in our arts and crafts group, The May, you would be working as part of a team supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to participate in craft activities including weaving, felting, papercrafts. Experience of supporting people is required and an understanding of the needs of people with a learning disability and autism is essential.

Human Resource Administrator

We are seeking a full Time Administrator to work in a busy charity office.

Tiphereth is a Camphill Community in Colinton, Edinburgh running residential, supported living, day services and social enterprises for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs.

Easily accessible by public transport (number 10 bus) the job will suit someone with good organisational, IT and telephone skills and experience working in a busy office. Experience of HR administration is desirable. The post is 37.5hrs per week and the working hours are 8:55am – 5pm (Monday, Thursday) and 8:55am – 4pm (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday).

The annual salary is £18,076.50 rising to £19,656 per annum over 6 years. The starting salary is pegged to the Scottish Living Wage + 3%. The post offers generous holiday entitlement 36 days and pension. The salary will rise based on length of service.

Deputy Team Leader (Pentland Group in the Day Service)

Tiphereth has an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker to develop in a new post of Deputy Team Leader in our Pentland Group. You would mainly be working to support adults with learning disabilities and autism to participate in the work of the group which focuses on woodwork, green woodwork, basketry and grounds maintenance. In addition you would work closely with the Team Leader and carry some delegated management responsibilities to ensure good working practices and high standards of care are maintained.

A minimum of 3 years experience of support work with adults with learning disabilities is essential, along with a positive, flexible and proactive approach and a full driving licence.
