Access to Industry was established in 2000 and is an award winning charity based in Edinburgh with a main objective of moving excluded people into further education and then onto employment. Access to Industry helps excluded people take steps towards employment by developing and delivering work focused education and training through partnership with key education and training providers. We support a number of key groups which include: - Youth and adult offenders, people with drug and alcohol dependency, young people who are out of work & young people leaving care.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Access to Industry (AI) working on a new project supporting people through redundancy and into employment. AI are looking to recruit a full time (35 hours) caseworker. You will be a self-starter, creative and have the skills and sensitivity to guide individuals aged 50+ years towards new careers.
Your role will be to identify skills in people and match them with employer vacancies, progress either directly into employment or onto training. You will make the project available at a time, and place, that works for them.
An exciting Opportunity has arisen to join the Access to Industry’s Young Peoples Service. You will work in a trauma informed way supporting young people aged 16-21, with complex health and social care issues, to progress towards education, training or employment. You will be part of a small team working one-to-one with young people, having responsibility for developing and delivering structured group work.
*The post is based at 156 Cowgate. Currently there is a blend of office-based, outreach and home-working.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Access to Industry’s (AI) team of Passport CashBack staff working with young people within HMP YOI Polmont and in the community. You will be a self-starter who has a passion for engaging one-to-one with young people to progress them into a positive destination. You will be comfortable working both in Polmont and on outreach with young people being liberated back to the West of Scotland mainly (but not exclusively) to Lanarkshire, Glasgow and Ayrshire. You will work well with others to achieve the best support for young people.
Working within North Lanarkshire and HMP Addiewell, you will be a self-starter with a drive to progress individuals aged 21+ who have convictions towards training, education and employment. You will be able to build a rapport with people known to criminal justice, you will be equally at ease working in a custodial setting and also in lone-working across North Lanarkshire. With this initial project funding period being short, it will be vital that you will be able to engage clients quickly and act dynamically to open doors for people.

As Caseworker you will be a self-starter, creative and have the skills and sensitivity to guide long term unemployed individuals towards employment. Access to Industry (AI) is a Third Sector organisation that supports individuals into employment. An opportunity has arisen to join Access to Industry (AI) to be part of a small administrative team and provide vital support and reception role within AI’s Cowgate base. AI are looking to recruit an administrator to work on a part-time basis. You will have the sensitivity to work with a range of clients, working alongside other staff members. You will be skilled in administrative duties and keen to learn new skills. As you will spend some of your time front-of-house meeting and greeting clients, staff and visitors, the most important skill you will have is the ability to give a warm welcome.

You will work in a trauma informed way supporting women who are currently involved within the justice system, with complex trauma, mental health, health and social care issues, to empower and build resilience within their community. You will work one-to-one with women across the communities to provide person centred, strength based, holistic and flexible support to create individual tailored action plans. You will work closely with social work and with the women justice centres in the areas.
