Access to Industry was established in 2000 and is an award winning charity based in Edinburgh with a main objective of moving excluded people into further education and then onto employment. Access to Industry helps excluded people take steps towards employment by developing and delivering work focused education and training through partnership with key education and training providers. We support a number of key groups which include: - Youth and adult offenders, people with drug and alcohol dependency, young people who are out of work & young people leaving care.

Caseworker (Dundee Employment Pathways Programme)

Based within Dundee you will work 1:1 with people towards employment but who face significant challenges because of a history of substance misuse and/or offending is compounding other barriers to progression. You will have a base but will work in outreach across the city. You will be establishing this new service for Access to Industry within the area and building key relationships with referring organisations.

Welfare Rights Advisor (EnCompass)

You will offer specialised knowledge and support to EnCompass clients around their welfare rights, financial capabilities and benefit assessments. Providing people with information, advice and support around various levels of benefits, appeals, income maximisation and tribunals.

You will offer employability casework to clients through one to one support. You will engage clients in positive progression routes both in house through our Community College and skills based learning and externally. You will support the wider EnCompass team through development of in house courses and training to meet the needs of the clients.

Caseworker

You will be part of a team of four Passport CashBack staff members working within HMP YOI Polmont. Engaging one-to-one throughout their sentence you will start to build a young person’s ability to progress into a positive destination. On liberation you will offer continued support within your assigned community. You will offer signposting & introductions for your young people being liberated who live outwith AI’s direct communities. You will work in partnership to achieve the best support for young people. Annually you will manage a caseload of 22 young people.

Two AI caseworkers will cover communities in the West of Scotland: mainly Glasgow; North Lanarkshire; South Lanarkshire; North Ayrshire; East Ayrshire

One AI caseworker will cover communities in the East of Scotland: mainly Tayside; Fife
