The Policy and Research Directorate at Marie Curie are a new directorate, which brings together their policy, public affairs, and research work to maximise impact. Marie Curie seek a new Head of Policy and Public Affairs (Scotland) which plays a crucial role in this function – leading the Policy and Public Affairs Scotland team to develop policies to improve end of life care in Scotland, based upon the evidenced needs of people affected by terminal illness.
Working in partnership with the Heads of Policy and Public Affairs in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, this role will also collaborate to coordinate and deliver an impactful influencing strategy across the four UK nations.

Political engagement and judgement when dealing with the Scottish Government is key alongside an in-depth understanding of structures within the Scottish Government, health and social care organisations and local authorities in Scotland. This is a rare opportunity for a senior clinical nurse - you will provide clinical leadership and professional line management, acting as a supportive and flexible manager to ensure the delivery of the Marie Curie Nursing Service strategy and service within the areas of the Aberdeenshire.

This is an exciting time to join Marie Curie in the role of IT Oracle Support Analyst. The IT Oracle Support Analyst role encompasses supporting the IT Oracle team in all technical solution development and support of Marie Curie’s Oracle platform. Working closely with the IT Oracle Platform Manager, HR, Finance and IT colleagues, you will drive service focused improvements to the Oracle system for Marie Curie.
The IT Oracle Support Analyst will allow you to provide application expertise and guidance to the business whilst supporting the operation and maintenance of the Oracle SaaS platform.

Our Marie Curie team in South and East Scotland is looking for a Volunteering Development Officer to join its volunteering department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate and confident they can deliver a high quality service.
This role will support the Volunteering Business Partner and the Head of Volunteering in growing the programme and increasing the contribution of volunteers, taking Marie Curie to the forefront of volunteering in the UK. It will also support in the development of a high quality experience all those who choose to give their time to Marie Curie. We offer full training with this role.
The Volunteering Development Officer will also have ring-fenced time to support their local hospice with volunteer recruitment, induction and training.
This is an exciting development for Marie curie- these new roles will be hands-on posts directly supporting volunteers in their local communities.

As a Community Fundraiser, you’ll be the face of Marie Curie in the community. Your role will be to support, develop and inspire volunteers, fundraising groups and supporters to ensure our local fundraising activity is as effective as possible.
This will involve engagement with community groups, corporates, fundraising groups and through in-memory giving, and working with those groups and individuals to help Marie Curie grow its fundraising income and local profile.
The nature of fundraising activity requires flexibility and in return for your commitment to evening and weekend work, we will strive to help you enjoy a strong work life balance
The role will involve lots of travel therefore you should have a full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle (business insurance will be required).
