The Role
The organization is looking for a dedicated and passionate Project Worker to join our team, with a focus on climate action awareness and health and wellbeing initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating projects related to raising awareness about climate change, promoting sustainable practices, and enhancing community health and wellbeing. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within East Kilbride.
The role will involve working with our Development Worker and the wider team ensuring that projects are delivered timeously and successfully and make a significant impact on both the environment and people’s lives.
The person
To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate your understanding of climate action, including at a local level, and an understanding of working with communities and the people within them.
The ability to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds is important, as is the ability to work effectively on your own or as part of a wider team.
A motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude is a must, and a proven track record is required.

About the role
The organisation is pursuing ambitious development plans and we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be dynamic, committed, and forward-thinking, with a proven track record in operational management. Experience of working in the third sector is desirable but not essential.
A self-starter with a can-do attitude, experience in financial management, strong leadership and management skills, and a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive, fulfilling our vision of making East Kilbride a place where people enjoy healthy, happy, and active lives within compassionate and resilient communities.
Older and Active in East Kilbride deliver a range of services which support older people over the age of 50 and those of any age with physical or mental disability.
This is driven by our overall vision ‘to improve the quality of life, health, wellbeing, independence, and inclusion of all older and disabled people in East Kilbride.’
Services include our Shopmobility service, minibus service, community hub ‘The Meeting Place’ and a range of health and wellbeing services. We also continue to provide remote support for people at home including help with prescriptions, shopping, ‘keep in touch’ calls and befriending.
