Having previously outsourced their HR services, they are now looking to bring these in-house to help support the business requirements to achieve their strategic aims and vision over the coming years. The new HR / OD Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the HR and L&D organisation objectives, ensuring the day to day people development standards and processes are in place and compliant with legal requirements as well as a range of learning solutions are planned for, designed, delivered, monitored and evaluated.

Being comfortable to get hands on with staff to understand the challenges they face is critical, while being able to provide sound and practical advice to the Leadership Teams to ensure that the organisation’s practices and policies meet the needs of the organisation’s values and behaviours.

You will be able to work with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds with an approachable and solution-orientated style; keen to support and drive the development of a positive working culture across the organisation and able to represent the Association in all that they do. Experience of HR best practice and employment law, as well as developing and implementing HR information systems is essential. A CIPD qualification and excellent knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation is also required.

Viewpoint’s long history and heritage makes it one of the most respected housing associations and care providers in the country. This role will be based in the Edinburgh office, with the scenic backdrop of Blackford Hill.

Viewpoint is at an exciting time in their 70 year history as the new CEO undertakes a review of the Association’s strategic vision, the organisation design that will support them to achieve their vision and how the whole organisation, both staff and customers, can have a voice in the future direction.

To help facilitate this change, VHA is expanding the Business Support function and has established the need to create this brand new post. The new Head of Business Support will take responsibility for leading and developing the Business Support Team, which includes Governance, ICT, HR and L&D, and Business Performance. As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team, you will have joint responsibility for the delivery and implementation of VHA’s Business Plan and in particular, the strategic objectives for the Business Support function. You will also assist with the role of Company Secretary (as required by the Director of Business Support) and will provide support to the Board and all Sub-Committees as necessary.

The appointed candidate will be a values driven individual who takes a collaborative approach to work. You will have experience of working in a similar position and have sound knowledge of governance, GDPR and data protection. Ideally, you will have a background in HR and IT with strong project management experience, from inception to completion. A highly motivated, strategic thinker with a can do attitude and excellent communication skills will do well in this role.

Tenant Participation and Communication Co-ordinator

With external support, we have recently undertaken a fundamental review our approach to tenant participation and have created this new post to help us achieve our ambition to deliver the best possible services to our tenants which will allow them to live independently and with dignity for as long as possible.

We are now seeking a highly motivated Tenant Participation and Communication Co-ordinator to drive forward delivery of our new Tenant Participation Strategy. You must put our customers at the heart of everything, take personal pride and responsibility for delivering great outcomes for our customers and our business. If you have the desire and drive to achieve creative solutions then this role is for you. You will be based at our Head Office in the Grange area of Edinburgh.
