Are you qualified and experienced in personnel development? Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action is looking for an experienced HR advisor, trainer and excellent communicator to review the organisation’s current HR policies and procedures, ensure that staff are trained accordingly and reinforce our corporate services team during a period of change management following the joining together of Dundee Voluntary Action and Volunteer Dundee.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for vulnerable women getting access to services. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and experience of partnership working. The post holder will be employed by Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action and co-located to work as a member of the Public Protection multi-agency Team (based within Dundee City Council). The post holder will play a key role in the strategic development and operational improvement of Gendered Services in Dundee. The role has a particular focus on engaging with cultural change within the statutory and voluntary sector. A secondment would be considered.

Working within our Mental Health Engagement and Involvement Programme, you will support adults who are in recovery from problematic alcohol and / or drug use to contribute to peer recovery in their communities, volunteering placements, and employment.
You will have a good working knowledge of issues relating to mental health and substance use, and be committed to supporting peer recovery.
We are looking for a confident, flexible and creative team player, who is experienced in supporting adults to overcome multiple barriers to employment.

You will have a good knowledge of volunteering and of health and wellbeing, in particular loneliness and social isolation.
