Alternatives is a community based voluntary sector drug service. It aims to work with others in order to provide quality accessible services for those people whose lives have been affected as a result of substance misuse. The project offers a range of services that individuals and families can access in order to begin to understand, support and address their issues.
To support the evening and overnight running of the Recovery House. This involves supporting residents of the Recovery House to maintain a safe and secure environment as they become and maintain abstinent lifestyles. The position is a strictly waking position. There will be additional support available through the night by way of management on call team.

Funded by the West Dunbartonshire Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund we have a vacancy for a Wellbeing in Nature Officer to continue running our pilot Into Nature project.

Job Purpose:

To lead the programme of corporate accountability for clinical governance and clinical performance across Alternatives WD CDS including Safe As Houses. This will involve developing, monitoring and maintaining systems to enable departments to achieve full compliance with clinical standards. This will also include leading and managing the clinical nurse in the management of incidents, the learnings and the outcomes.

Develop and deliver an upcycling/life skills programme of activities, training of individuals and working with Community groups and volunteers. The upcycling/lifeskills operation will focus on recycling fabrics, metal and wood to create useful objects and artistic creations, teaching lifeskills such as painting, wallpapering, simple home management and home repairs.
