You will work alongside colleagues in the digital information team and together will optimise content for a range of social media channels, including young.scot, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and Facebook.
About Young Scot
Young Scot is the national youth information and citizenship charity for 11-26 year olds in Scotland. We provide young people with information, ideas and opportunities to help them make informed decisions and choices, helping them to navigate the challenges they face as they grow up, particularly during times of transition.
Young people are at the heart of everything we do, taking a lead role in designing and shaping our services. We are collaborative in our approach, working with cross-sector partners who share our values and belief in young people. This joined-up approach ensures we deliver the best value, including targeted and bespoke services where appropriate, whilst meeting the needs of the young people we serve.

Our Young Scot Compliance & Development Officer will play a key role in progressing uptake of the Young Scot National Entitlement Card (YSNEC) for young people aged 11-26 in Scotland. You will provide all 32 Local Authorities with support for YSNEC application processes, undertake audits, develop processes, provide advice and monitor compliance. This role will also provide YSNEC communications support around the promotion of the YSNEC and Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) in Scotland.
Working closely with the Smart Services Director, your work will involve supporting and developing the Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) and supporting emerging programmes of work to provide young people verified access to targeted/age-restricted entitlements and services, providing choice and parity of access to young people through the YSNEC.
Partnership working is at the core of how we work at Young Scot and the YSNEC is very much based on partnerships – you will regularly collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. As such, you should have extensive experience of working in collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
