With 25 years of experience, Venture Scotland is well established as a leading provider of personal development opportunities to young adults facing social exclusion. Our programme is based on the ethos of informal outdoor learning and incorporates a range of adventure and conservation activities in both urban and wilderness settings, including at our remote bothy in Glen Etive.
Venture Scotland offers an outdoor-based personal development programme which empowers vulnerable young people aged 16-30, who face complex and difficult challenges in their lives and want help to change.
We build the confidence, resilience and skills of young people and work with them to make lasting changes to their lives and play a positive role in their communities focusing on their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
We are seeking a volunteer co-ordinator to help recruit, train, organise and support new and existing volunteers to help them support the delivery of our outdoor-based personal development programme.
The job will also include building a network of referrers, meeting and presenting our programme to young people interested in joining our course and other administrative duties.
Want to work in a supportive small team of people who really care about the young people we are helping? Do you want to work in an organisation who listen, value everyone views and care about the health and wellbeing of their staff? Do you understand the transformative effect of the outdoors? Are you passionate about #ChangingYoungLives?
