The Scottish Youth Parliament represents Scotland’s young people.  Our vision for Scotland is of a nation that actively listens to and values the meaningful participation of its children and young people.  Our goal is to make this vision a reality, in order to ensure Scotland is the best place in the world to grow up. 

We are a fundamentally rights-based organisation, and our mission, vision, and values are grounded in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratic voice of all of Scotland’s young people. Our members listen to and recognise the issues that are most important to young people in every community across the country and ensure that decision-makers listen to their voices.

SYP is seeking a Policy and Public Affairs Manager to support this vital work. The successful candidate for this role will work with our members in communicating the views of young people to Scotland’s elected representatives and in developing and support all policy work across the organisation.

Administrator

We are seeking an Administrator to support the work of the Scottish Youth Parliament.

In this exciting and diverse role, you will be supporting with wider staff team at SYP. This role will be the first point of contact within our office for visitors, guests and members whilst carrying out a wide range of tasks that support the operations of SYP.

To be successful in your application, you will need to demonstrate that you are an individual with exceptional organisation and interpersonal skills, with an eye for detail.
