The Finance Manager will support accounting, reporting and control activities within Mary’s Meals UK to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with good practice.

This role will be responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial records, the integrity of the accounting system and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role will provide leadership, management and coaching for the finance expenditure team, which may also include volunteers.

The data insights officer will work across directorates to support the data insights manager with GDPR compliance and reporting. This includes leading on data governance and compliance, data collection, analysis and report writing to support and influence the strategic direction of the organisation.

The data insights officer will produce data for mailing lists as defined by the communications team, within an agreed timescale and work with data owners/controllers to maintain databases and ensure data quality.

Major Giving and Partnerships Manager

Reporting to the Head of Major Giving and Partnerships, the Major Giving and Partnerships Manager will be an excellent influencer and fundraiser with the ability to convert significant potential into growth.

Principal duties include:

• Developing and delivering a major donor fundraising strategy, building relationships with new supporters and supporting existing major donors and trusts and foundations.

• Working with Mary’s Meals International’s Funding and Partnerships team to deliver effective grant management for current donors and engaging proposals and applications for potential donors.

• Devising and implementing a successful giving programme from the corporate sector and forming meaningful strategic partnerships with corporates.

• Working with the Head of Major Giving and Partnerships to set income and expenditure budgets for the Partnerships Fundraising team; maintaining accurate records, analysing financial and non-financial data to monitor and improve performance and mitigate risk.

• Acting as an ambassador of Mary’s Meals at public engagements and supporter events and, where necessary, deliver speeches or presentations to a wide range of audiences.

Supporter Care Assistant

The Supporter Care Assistant will maintain a positive and friendly image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, donors and supporters in person, online and via telephone.

Principal duties

Donors, supporters and enquiries

  • Respond to all supporter enquiries, requests and gifts received in a prompt, efficient and thoughtful manner within agreed timescales
  • Thank donors for their gifts efficiently, within agreed timescales and in a personal manner
  • Deal with telephone, email or face-to-face enquiries

CRM Database

  • Enter data onto the CRM database and maintain accurate records of donations, donors’ personal information, reports sent and any other data relating to fundraising (both electronic and paper)
  • Update the CRM database with details of resources sent to supporters/volunteers adding new supporter records as required .
  • Process and manage online donations
  • Check the data input of others for accuracy
  • Ensure information is retained and used in compliance with data protection policy and in line with retention periods

Supporter Care Administrative support

  • Manage the Supporter Care administrative support as required, to support the needs of Mary’s Meals
  • Prepare mail for posting and manage any mail to be sent out from Glasgow
  • Provide administrative support to the Supporter Engagement Directorate by sending out Supporter Engagement materials on request

Management of self

  • Participate in personal development reviews including identifying any learning/training needs
  • Continue to identify opportunities for own development including keeping knowledge up to date and relevant
  • Communicate effectively and accept personal responsibility
  • Participate in Mary’s Meals monthly gathering, quarterly all staff days and Supporter Engagement meetings.
