Outreach Coordinator

SCF is the organisation dedicated to campaigning for crofters and fighting for the future of crofting. We are looking for someone to join us to promote SCF policy positions on crofting, agriculture and rural development issues. The successful applicant will have experience of issues affecting crofting, sustainable Scottish agriculture and rural development. They will have the organisational skills and personality to be able shape, organise and ensure delivery of events and activities both online and in person, engaging with the public, crofters and organisations as required.

This is a part-time post (17.5 hr/w) salaried up to £32,000 pa pro rata depending on experience. Hours can be flexible and the post-holder will work remotely but will be based in Scotland and will be expected to travel within Scotland.

The employment is for three years in the first instance, with the aim of getting the post funded on a longer-term basis.

Whilst we would like interest from experienced people who have worked for at least five years in a relevant post, we understand how difficult it can be to get experience, so we may consider less experienced candidates should they have other attributes.

Policy Coordinator

We are looking for someone to join us to develop and write persuasive policy briefs and consultation responses. The successful applicant will have experience of issues affecting crofting, sustainable Scottish agriculture and rural development. They will have well-developed analytical and communication skills.

This is a part-time post (24.5 hr/w) salaried up to £35,000 pa pro rata depending on experience. Hours can be flexible and the post-holder will work remotely but will be based in Scotland and will be expected to travel within Scotland.

The employment is for three years in the first instance, with the aim of getting the post funded on a longer-term basis.

This is a full-time post (35 hr/w) salaried up to £29,000 pa depending on experience. Hours can be flexible and employment can be payroll or self-employed. The employment is for one year in the first instance, with the aim of getting the post funded on a longer-term basis.

The post-holder will work remotely but will be based in Scotland and will be expected to travel within Scotland.
