We have immediate availability for qualified and experienced Counsellors (contracted) and Associate Counsellors (self-employed on guaranteed hours)
Vacancies in Dundee; Moray; Perth & Kinross; Falkirk; Glasgow; West Dunbartonshire
Priority will be given to applicants who have experience and post qualifying training in working with young people and children – preferably in a primary or secondary school environment.
We also have vacancies in our telephone assessment team and our adult counselling services.

Roles are for 3, 4 or in some cases 5 days per week (21 – 35 hours). Whilst initially short-term contracts are offered (4-6 months duration) there will be opportunities for longer term roles from April 2021 onward
Counsellor Grade 5/5a (£24,500 - £29,000) pro rata / Associate rate £17.50-£20.00 p/h
(salary placement dependant on qualifications, experience and accreditation status)

You must have:
- A recognised Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling
- A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential (this can be waived for limited roles)
- Experience of counselling young people in a school environment is highly advantageous
- Excellent IT skills and be comfortable with use of mobile technology
Ideally you will have:
- Experience of delivering time limited, solution focused approaches (SSW; 4:8 model)
- Demonstrable experience of working with a range of client types and presenting issues
Experience of recording comprehensive client progress and improvement data, preferably using recognised clinical / outcome focused tools (CORE, SDQ, GBO etc) and processes.
We are delighted to be a Level 2 delivery partner in the Scottish Government pilot of a Distress Brief Intervention Service that aims to offer an “ask once get help fast” inter-agency response, support and problem solving service to people in distress.
We are looking for a DBI Support Worker to join our award-winning team, based in our Coatbridge office in North Lanarkshire. This role will be responsible for engaging with and supporting clients experiencing distress across the North Lanarkshire area who have been referred by a DBI Level 1 Practitioner.
You will provide compassionate problem-solving support, helping clients to manage their distress and supporting their ongoing wellbeing by use of distress management plans and wellness tools. Working with a range of partners and services, you will be knowledgeable about local service provision and developments, signposting and supporting clients in accessing appropriate services and giving them the information needed to support their ongoing emotional resilience. Travel around the North Lanarkshire area will be an essential part of the role.
With a focus on achieving and evidencing positive client outcomes, you will deliver support to clients in a range of venues. As an ambassador for Lifelink and the DBI Service, you will maintain positive working partnerships and contribute to the development and marketing of the service and wider organisation.
