Information and Communication Co-ordinator

LCIL is a user-led organisation providing a range of services that enable Disabled People to live independently in the community of their choice.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude to take responsibility for the effective development and overall management of Grapevine the LCiL Information Disability Information Service, as well as supporting the organisation’s communication functions:

  • Manage and supervise 3 part-time staff across the different aspects of the service and related projects
  • Oversee, monitor and report on the development of quality assurance systems and policies/procedures relevant to service delivery
  • Support team’s ongoing learning/knowledge on welfare rights and issues relating to the Scottish welfare system
  • Work in collaboration with other agencies
  • Support and guide communication activities within the organisation

LCIL is looking for someone with:

  • Understanding of person centred working
  • Understanding of Independent Living philosophy and Social Model of Disability
  • Experience of strategic planning and project management in relation to information and communication provision.
  • Experience of staff supervision.
  • Specialist knowledge of specific issues e.g.: welfare benefits, community care as they relate to disabled people.
  • Experience of communication management

Personal Assistants required

We are looking for honest, trustworthy, friendly and reliable people to join our tight knit supportive team. We look after an extremely happy, but complex young man.

The job involves assisting said young man with ALL everyday activities including personal care.

His care will be 24hrs/7 days per week with various shifts available.

Experience in care would be great, but not essential as full training given.

It is essential that the postholder be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.

The rate of pay is £9.33 per hour and £72.00 per sleepover shift.

There are a number of shifts available, including full time and part time posts.

The post will initially be in Gorebridge but will eventually move to Woodburn.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our management team as HR & Office Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Chief Executive the successful candidate will be responsible for HR & Office management co-ordination, financial administration, Board servicing and management of the administration team.

For this varied role, candidates must demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in these areas. Candidates should also possess excellent communication, organisational & time management skills. They should be adaptable, with a can-do approach, solutions driven.
