Circle is a Scottish charity providing whole family support services to some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged children and families in Scotland. Our aim is to improve their lives and promote their healthy development and potential.

We need a motivated, skilled and experienced manager to oversee practitioner research and evaluation, develop our participation strategy, disseminate knowledge and develop new opportunities. Applicants should possess a professional qualification in social work, social care, health or education and have research, development and training experience.

Based at Circle’s Head Office in Edinburgh (remote working likely).

The purpose of the post is to provide support to children and families affected by parental drug and/or alcohol use to minimise the impact on the children. The Family Outreach Worker will offer a range of services to meet the individual needs of families. They will work alongside families to help them build upon existing strengths to make and sustain positive lifestyle choices.

Working with families affected by parental substance use

Circle is a Scottish charity providing family support services to some of the most marginalised children and families in Scotland.

Funded by East Lothian Council, the purpose of the post is to provide individual, peer based and group work support to children and young people affected by parental drug and/or alcohol use. The Children’s Resilience Worker will build upon children’s and young people’s existing strengths, support them to connect with peers and to build resilience. Through the development of this support, the post will help minimise the impact of parental substance use. The post holder will work alongside parents and carers, the wider team and statutory and voluntary sector colleagues to enable holistic support at the earliest opportunity.
