Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council’s (EVOC) purpose is to support, promote, develop and represent the Third Sector. We play a key role in supporting pioneering, new and innovative ways of working for Third Sector organisations and community groups that work in Edinburgh. EVOC actively promotes, participates in and contributes to partnership working between the voluntary, public, private and community sectors at a local and national level.
Are you passionate about the voluntary sector? Do you believe that by working collectively as a city we can tackle some of the issues contributing to poverty and inequality? Enthusiastic, tenacious, a great communicator, you must enjoy dealing with sector leaders and people with passion. Are you up for a challenge?
This new role is designed to provide an efficient and effective financial service to EVOC. It includes the maintenance of EVOC’s financial records, day-to-day operations and preparation of financial statements for EVOC’s senior management team and Board. Additionally, for one day per week the post will provide a service of Independent Examination to small charities’ accounts.
Working with a remit across Edinburgh’s four localities, the Development Worker will service and support the voluntary sector forums to develop and to engage with other Community Planning Partners; enabling participation, representing third sector interests and supporting third sector representatives. One area of developing focus will be engaging with and supporting third sector participation within Locality teams.
