The Citadel Youth Centre is an independent voluntary organisation, which has gained a high reputation, over 40 years, for the quality and range of services it provides for children, young people and their families in the Leith area.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly committed candidates for this post.

The postholder will be responsible for maintaining and developing a family support service based in Leith Primary School, as well as working alongside Citadel colleagues in the Parents Drop In and other Citadel based services for families.

15+ Project Worker (No One Left Behind)

No One Left Behind (NOLB) is the new term for Activity Agreements, a national scheme to provide targeted support for young people who leave school without a positive destination in education, training or employment. The Citadel is funded by City of Edinburgh Council to provide the NOLB Hubs for young people referred to Activity Agreements in North East and North West Edinburgh. This service is delivered in partnership with Community Renewal. The Hubs’ role includes direct 1:1 support and group work, as well as supporting young people to access opportunities outside the agency which are relevant to their career interests. The postholder will also work with Citadel colleagues to offer out of school youth work opportunities for young people of high school age.
