Capability Scotland work alongside staff in mainstream childcare settings, including private and local authority nurseries, school clubs, holiday clubs and playgroups in order to develop their capacity to include children with additional support needs within their services.

Capability Scotland also deliver Youthzone, a weekend social support service for high school aged young people with additional support needs.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will support our Service Manager in managing our teams and lead the way with this new opportunity. You will ensure that our people continue to receive the exceptional, person-centred support we provide. The role will require you to have vision and confidence to nurture service growth.

Our holiday service supports young people with additional support needs in Edinburgh to enjoy their school holidays with a variety of activities, trips and social opportunities.

About the Role

We are currently looking to recruit Support Workers to work as part of a team providing a safe, caring and fun environment for young people with disabilities during the school holidays in Edinburgh. You may provide personal care (including intimate care), and support young people with aspects of their general welfare to meet their individual needs.

Monday – Friday between the hours of 9am – 4pm during school holidays.

Experience/qualifications/key skills required

Experience of working in a similar role and environment is desirable as is a willingness to undertake any personal development opportunities. You should have a care related SVQ Level 3, or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale. You should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

During your shift you might be at the cinema, joining a fun run in the park or enjoying the latest exhibition at the V&A (enter something local) all the while keeping our customers safe and cared for.   • Self-Directed Support Brokerage Service

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Link Practitioner to join our Self Directed Support Brokerage Service. You will provide support to individuals who are in receipt of a Direct Payment award to implement their agree Self Directed Support Plan, this will include assistance with recruitment and managing their relationship with their Personal Assistants and ongoing support to individuals to review their plan and make changes where necessary. You will be an advocate of Self-Directed Support and will raise awareness of Self-Directed Support and of the Brokerage amongst potential recipients, other professionals and the general public. The role will require you to nurture the service to allow for ongoing growth.
