Capability Scotland is a leading provider of care, support and education across Scotland.

We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our team who can both lead and support Service Managers in their delivery of excellent, effective services which meet the needs and expectations of the people we support. During this most challenging of times and in a fast changing environment the postholder will be key to ensuring services adapt and respond to the changes in the external environment.

This role will support a diverse range of care and support services across central Scotland including community living, supported living, residential and day services for both children and adults. The post also has a strong emphasis on development, including both new business and the modernisation and development of existing services.

This role includes;

• Service Review and Development

• Investigation and Resolution of Complex Issues

• Financial Review and management

• Staff Management

• Strategy and Business Development

Job Role and Responsibilities

Support and develop the delivery of best practice and maintain and develop economically viable services which fully meet statutory and corporate requirements.

Develop relationships with all stakeholders, including our customers, their families and carers and others, including local authorities, other funders, Care Inspectorate and SSSC.

Develop implement and deliver new services, including exploring new opportunities and developing the business case for these.

Experience/qualifications/key skills required:

• Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role and environment is key as is a sound understanding of, and the ability to further develop, best practice in the delivery of care and support services along

• Considerable experience of delivering results through visible and credible leadership and management within a Social Care environment.

• Strong business acumen and brilliant commercial and financial awareness

• Experience in leading business development and contract management is desirable.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent. A relevant professional qualification is highly desirable.

• A full driving licence is desirable due to the nature of the role. Capability Scotland is willing to consider alternative arrangements that achieve the same outcomes for those candidates that have a disability which prevents them from having a driving licence.

Team Leader

We are currently looking to recruit two Team Leaders to support the Service Manager in the operation of our Dundee Service. Our service in Dundee supports individuals to access a range of meaningful activities.

It is an exciting time for us as we explore ways to develop our relationships with our people and we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Team Leader to join us.

This may mean flexibility in terms of location, shift pattern, focus, and deployment, which may include evenings or weekends.

You will be required to co-ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of social care practice using a person-centred approach that reflects individual customer's needs, wants, and aspirations.

A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team, you will do this by displaying leadership skills such as role modelling, decision making, being an effective communicator, having a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role.

You may also be required from time to time to deliver direct support to our customers.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory/management role is desirable
  • Care related SVQ Level 4 or equivalent or have the ability and willingness to achieve this qualification
  • The ability to plan for customers, for your staff, and for your service is critical.
  • A desire for self-improvement and willing to develop your skills with our help
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Relief Support Worker - Activities 4 All

Activities4All supports mainstream holiday clubs/camps to develop their capacity to include children with additional support needs within their services. We can support:

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Link Practitioner to join our Self-Directed Support Brokerage Service. You will provide support to individuals who are in receipt of a Direct Payment award to implement their agreed Self Directed Support Plan, this will include assistance with recruitment and managing their relationship with their Personal Assistants and ongoing support to individuals to review their plan and make changes where necessary. You will be an advocate of Self-Directed Support and will raise awareness of Self-Directed Support and of the Brokerage amongst potential recipients, other professionals and the general public. The role will require you to nurture the service to allow for ongoing growth.

We are looking for someone who is keen to implement national policy into practice at a local level, keen to implement innovation while maintaining a positive environment and high quality service.
