The Scottish Bible Society is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to play a key role in our communications team and in sharing our passion for the Bible and our belief and vision that it transforms lives.

To make a positive contribution to the work we do both in Scotland and in our partnership within the global United Bible Societies you will have excellent people management skills and a proven ability to project manage and deliver marketing campaigns, you are strategic and passionate about communicating a clear message, leading creative projects, and building brand awareness across a range of audiences.

This is a full-time post (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week). Normal place of work is Bible House, 7 Hampton Terrace, Edinburgh. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Hybrid working from home/office-based arrangements are in place.

The Scottish Bible Society is one of a global collaboration of Christian ministries dedicated to helping people around the world heal from the pain of trauma through understanding and engaging with the Bible.

We work with a community of facilitators from across the world resourced by the Trauma Healing Institute, sharing knowledge, best practice and training.

To enable the continued growth in this expanding ministry in Scotland we are seeking to appoint a Trauma Healing Coordinator. Working alongside existing staff and volunteers, the successful applicant will provide administrative support and training to those seeking to run Bible based Trauma Healing groups in their church communities. Advanced training towards accreditation as a Trauma Healing Master Facilitator will be given.

Trauma is defined as a deep wound of the heart and mind that takes a long time to heal, hurting every part of us: our relationships, our bodies, our thoughts, and our faith.

It takes knowledge and skill to help people who are in this kind of pain, without hurting them more.

Someone, with an eye for detail, who can help ensure the books and records of the charity are accurately maintained by assisting in a variety of financial and supporter-based tasks.
